What is Organizer Assist?

Organizer Assist is a new feature in Scoreholio that allows the primary tournament organizer to assign additional organizers to help manage and run a tournament. This feature makes it easier for teams to collaborate, ensuring a smooth and efficient event.

How does Organizer Assist work?

The primary organizer can invite other organizers to assist with the tournament. These assistants will have the ability to manage tournaments, check in teams, update scores, and handle other administrative tasks, providing valuable support to the main organizer.

Who can be an organizer assistant?

Anyone with a Scoreholio organizer account can be invited to be an organizer assistant. The primary organizer sends an invitation through theadmin, and once accepted, the assistant gains access to the tournament's management tools.

What permissions do organizer assistants have?

Organizer assistants can:

  • Update scores and standings

  • Manage player check-ins

  • Use their devices to help submit scores

  • Edit brackets

  • Send notifications to players

  • View tournament analytics

However, the primary organizer retains overall control and can revoke assistant access at any time.

How do I add an organizer assistant?

  1. Open your tournament admin in the Scoreholio app or on web.

  2. Go to the "Options" tab. (Or click the top left 3 lines)

  3. Click the "Organizer Assist" section

  4. Click "Add Organizer" and select the person you want to invite.

  5. The invited organizer will receive a notification to accept the role.

Can organizer assistants Edit the tournament?

No, only the primary organizer has the ability to edit the tournamnet.

Is there a limit to how many organizer assistants I can have?

Currently, there is no limit to the amount of organizers that can assist a tournamnet.

Can organizer assistants invite other assistants?

No, only the primary organizer has the authority to invite or remove organizer assistants. This keeps the management of the tournament streamlined and under the control of the main organizer.

What happens if the primary organizer can’t attend the event?

If the primary organizer cannot attend, the organizer assistants can manage most of the event's tasks. However, it is recommended to plan in advance and coordinate with your assistants to ensure everything runs smoothly.

How do I remove an organizer assistant?

  1. Go to the "Organizer assist" section of your tournament.

  2. Find the assistant you want to remove.

  3. Click "Remove"

The assistant will no longer have access to the tournament's management tools.

Does Organizer Assist cost extra?

No, Organizer Assist is included in the standard Social (free) Scoreholio package at no additional cost. It’s designed to enhance the organizing experience and help you run more efficient tournaments. After a 30 day grace period Scoreholio will move the organizer assist option to a paid subscription level.
