# Transfer Organizer Account

{% hint style="danger" %}
IMPORTANT! DO NOT make a new account with the email you want to transfer the account to. If you do that account and ALL tournaments created on it will need to be deleted. If you already made the new account with the new email [contact live support](/getting-started/live-chat.md).

Then you can do the steps below.
{% endhint %}

## Steps for transferring an account

1. If you are currently paying for a subscription, [cancel the subscription](/getting-started/subscriptions.md#canceling-a-subscription) in your app store.
2. Go to edit your [organizer profile](/run-a-tournament/editing-organizer-profile.md#quick-start-guide)
3. Edit the password to be a new easy password you can share with the new owner.
4. Change the email address on the account and then click the update button on the bottom of the screen.
5. Share the new email and password with the new owner.
6. Share with them how to change the password to their own password
7. Have the new owner [upgrade their organizer subscription](/getting-started/subscriptions.md#how-to-upgrade-to-a-paid-organizer-subscription)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.scoreholio.com/getting-started/subscriptions/transfer-organizer-account.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
