# Manually Add Players

### Add a new player in Admin

For a player new to your tournaments, enter their first name, last name, and email.

Email connects the player to their Scoreholio profile. This keeps their games and stats together.

1. Open the tournament **Admin**.
2. Select **Players/Teams**.
3. In **Add a Player**, enter the player details.
4. Set payment, pool, and placement as needed for your format.

### Add a returning player

Use **Search Existing Players** for anyone who has played in one of your tournaments before.

Start typing their name or email, then select the right player. Easy Peasy.&#x20;

### Create an empty team

For team events, create an empty team before assigning its players.

### Create a team from the placement menu

Add the player's first name, last name, and email. Then set **Placement** to either:

* **Create Checked-In Team**
* **Create Pre-Reg Team**

### Add unassigned players or subs to a team

Set a player's **Placement** to **Unassigned Player/Sub**. After creating the team, select the player from the Unassigned/Subs list and move them to their team.

### Remove a player from a team

Select the player on their team, then choose **Remove Player from Team**.

The player moves to the **Unassigned/Subs** list. From there, you can add them elsewhere.

### Add players in the app

Use the app's player flow to add participants away from Admin. Handy when you are tournament-side and chaos is winning.
