Custom Dashboards

Custom Dashboards allow organizers to create fully customizable live tournament displays for TVs, projectors, tablets, laptops, and other screens.

Custom Dashboards require Remote Mode, which is available on the ADVANCED subscription level.

Using a simple drag-and-drop designer, you can build a dashboard with widgets such as court assignments, leaderboards, queues, brackets, announcements, sponsor ads, clocks, images, and more. Once displayed, dashboards update automatically in real time as tournament information changes.

Create a dashboard once and display it on as many screens throughout your venue as needed.

Why Use Custom Dashboards?

Custom Dashboards help organizers:

• Display live court assignments and game information

• Show leaderboards and tournament standings

• Promote sponsors and venue partners

• Share announcements and event information

• Display brackets and tournament progress

• Create dedicated screens for players, spectators, and staff

• Combine multiple tournaments onto a single display

Whether you're running a small local event or a large multi-court tournament, Custom Dashboards give you complete control over what information is displayed and how it appears.

We strongly recommend using the web version of Scoreholio when creating and managing Custom Dashboards. While dashboards can be configured and widgets can be assigned from the mobile app, a computer provides a much better experience for designing layouts, arranging widgets, and managing dashboard settings.

Where to Find Custom Dashboards on the Web

1. Go to Scoreholio.com

2. Click Organizer Sign In and choose your sport

3. Choose Dashboards

The Custom Dashboards tab displays all dashboards available in your organizer account.

Each dashboard card displays:

• Dashboard name

• Optional description

• Dashboard type (Single Tournament or Multi-Tournament)

• Widget count

Click any dashboard to access additional actions.

Key Concepts

Dashboard

A dashboard is a saved screen layout that displays live tournament information. Dashboards can be displayed on TVs, tablets, projectors, laptops, and digital signage systems.

Template

A template is a reusable dashboard design that can be used as a starting point when creating new dashboards.

Widget

Widgets are the building blocks of a dashboard. Available widget types include:

• Court Grid

• Leaderboard

• Queue

• Game Log

• Bracket

• Title / Information

• Announcer

• Ads & Media

• Clock

• Text

• Image

Single Tournament Dashboards

Single Tournament dashboards are connected to one tournament. All tournament-based widgets display information from that tournament.

This is the simplest setup and works well for most events.

Multi-Tournament Dashboards

Multi-Tournament dashboards can display information from multiple tournaments on the same screen.

Each tournament-based widget can be assigned to a different tournament, making it possible to showcase multiple events simultaneously.

The following widget types can be assigned independently:

• Court Grid

• Leaderboard

• Queue

• Game Log

• Bracket

• Title

• Announcer

Creating a Dashboard

1. Click New Dashboard.

2. Enter a dashboard name.

3. Optionally enter a description.

4. Select a template.

5. Click Create.

Your new dashboard will open directly in the Dashboard Designer.

Choosing a Template

Templates are organized into three categories:

Mine

Templates you have personally created and saved.

Built-In

Starter templates provided by Scoreholio, including:

• Blank

• Classic

• Courts Only

• Leaderboard + Courts

Community

Templates shared by other organizers. Use the search bar to find templates by name, description, tags, or organizer.

Using the Dashboard Designer

The Dashboard Designer is where you build and customize your layout.

Adding Widgets

Add widgets from the widget menu and place them anywhere on the dashboard.

Moving and Resizing Widgets

Drag widgets to reposition them.

Resize widgets to fit your desired layout.

Widget Settings

Select any widget to configure its options.

Examples include:

• Court selections

• Leaderboard size

• Queue settings

• Bracket display options

• Clock format

• Text and image content

Dashboard Settings

Select the Settings button to configure dashboard-wide options:

• Single Tournament or Multi-Tournament mode

• Default tournament

• Preview tournament

• Background color

• Background image

• Screen rotation

• Screen flipping

• Zoom and scaling

These settings help optimize displays for different screen orientations and venue setups.

Saving Your Dashboard

Click Save to store your changes.

Returning to the Dashboard List

Select Back to exit the designer and return to your dashboard list.

Assigning Tournaments

Multi-Tournament dashboards require tournament assignments.

To assign tournaments:

1. Open the dashboard's ⋯ menu.

2. Select Assign.

3. Choose a tournament for each tournament-based widget.

4. Click Save.

Widgets left unassigned will remain blank until a tournament is selected.

Previewing a Dashboard

Preview allows you to see exactly what spectators and players will see.

To preview:

1. Open the dashboard.

2. Select Preview.

The preview window displays a live 16:9 version of the dashboard.

Tournament Selection

Use the Tournament dropdown to select which tournament data should be displayed.

This is especially useful when previewing templates since templates are not tied to a tournament.

Open in New Tab

Select Open to launch the full-screen dashboard renderer in a separate browser tab.

Displaying a Dashboard

Custom Dashboards can be displayed on virtually any device with a web browser, including:

• Amazon Fire TV Sticks

• Smart TVs

• Tablets

• Laptops

• Desktop computers

• Projectors

• Digital signage systems

Once opened, the dashboard automatically updates in real time as tournament data changes.

Common uses include:

• Court assignment displays

• Leaderboard screens

• Bracket displays

• Sponsor advertising

• Event announcements

• Venue information screens

• Multi-event scoreboards

Dashboard Actions

Select the ⋯ menu on any dashboard to access additional options.

Rename

Update the dashboard name and description.

Clone

Create a duplicate of an existing dashboard.

The new dashboard will be named:

Copy of [Dashboard Name]

Save as Template

Convert a dashboard into a reusable template.

Delete

Permanently remove a dashboard.

A confirmation prompt is required before deletion.

Templates

Templates allow organizers to save and share dashboard layouts.

Templates are tournament-independent and can be reused for future events.

Template Types

Built-In Templates

Provided by Scoreholio and available to all organizers.

My Templates

Private templates available only to your account.

Community Templates

Templates published by organizers and shared with the entire Scoreholio community.

Community templates can be searched by:

• Template name

• Description

• Tags

• Publishing organizer or club

Saving a Dashboard as a Template

1. Open the dashboard's ⋯ menu.

2. Select Save as Template.

3. Enter a template name.

4. Optionally enter a description.

5. Optionally publish it to the Community library.

6. Click Save.

When a dashboard is converted into a template, tournament assignments are automatically removed so the template can be reused by any organizer.

Publishing to the Community Library

When you publish a template, it becomes available for other organizers to use.

Published templates are credited to your organizer or club profile.
