Let Scoreholio do the talking — literally. The Announce feature plays music and automatically calls out court assignments so your players always know where to be. Easy peasy!
Overview
Announce turns any device or browser into a smart PA system for your tournament. You can play background music from any of your fav music apps and Scoreholio reads court assignments out loud as they're ready — so you can focus on playing instead of hollering across the venue.
If you're using a device (phone or tablet) instead of a web browser, Scoreholio will automatically lower the music while the voice reads each announcement. Nice touch, right?
How to Turn It On
Getting started is easy peasy:
Open Scoreholio on the app or web and go to Run a Tournament
Tap your tournament, then tap More Options
Select Announce
Settings
Tap the icon in the top right corner of the Announce screen to access settings. Here's what you can customize:
Announce All Tournaments
Running multiple tournaments at the same time? Turn this on and Announce will handle court calls for all of them simultaneously. Perfect for big events with multiple brackets going at once.
You do need to go to the admin of each tournament you want to be a part of the announcements and turn on the announcements setting.

Voice & Voice Volume
Choose your preferred announcement voice and dial in the volume. Pretty self-explanatory — pick what works best for your venue!
Duration Between Announcements
Control how long Scoreholio waits between each court call. Helpful if you want a breather between announcements or need time for music to play.
Announce Delay ⭐
This one's a game changer. Instead of announcing every single court the moment it's ready, you can add a delay to give players a chance to get to their court and click Start Game first.
Here's how it works:
A court is ready → Scoreholio waits for the delay you set
If the players click Start Game before the delay is up → the announcement moves to Completed automatically (no unnecessary callout!)
If no one clicks Start → Scoreholio announces the court as normal
Other Handy Features
Refresh a Completed Announcement
Already marked as completed but need to re-announce? No problem — you can always refresh a completed announcement to call it out again.
Player Reminder Button
Players waiting on a court with a no-show? They don't have to track you down. Any player waiting on a court can tap the Reminder button to trigger an immediate announcement calling out the missing team. Problem solved without you lifting a finger!
