King of the Court
King of the Court gives Scoreholio’s Round Robin format a twist: win your game and move toward Court 1. Win on Court 1 and you stay there for the next round.
You can run King of the Court with Singles, Set Teams, or Switcholio, using up to four courts. Choose a set number of rounds, or select Endless to keep the games going.
How court movement works
At the end of each round, Scoreholio uses the game results to set up the next one:
Court 1
Stay on Court 1
Court 2
Move to Court 1
Court 3 or 4
Move to Court 2
Scoreholio takes the players or teams that lost and pairs them again on the available lower courts. It shuffles those matchups to give players a variety of partners and opponents when possible.
Repeat matchups can happen. A player or team may hold a court for several rounds, so King of the Court does not guarantee that you’ll always play with or against someone new.
King of the Court plays one round at a time
All games in the current round must finish before Scoreholio assigns the next round. As courts finish, players and teams wait in Coming Up. Once the round is complete, Scoreholio moves the winners, pairs the other players or teams, and fills the available courts.
This is different from a standard Scoreholio Round Robin, where an open court can receive its next game while other games are still in progress. King of the Court needs every result before it can determine where everyone plays next.
Choose a number of rounds or play Endless
If you choose a number of rounds, Scoreholio tracks how many games each player or team has played. Once they reach that number, they move to Finished / Not Playing.
Choose Endless if you want to keep playing without a preset round limit. It’s a good option for a casual event where players want to keep challenging for Court 1.

What players should expect
Your next court depends on where you played and whether you won. If you win on Court 2, your next game is on Court 1. If you win on Court 1, you defend that spot. Players and teams that lose are paired again on the other available courts.
You may have a short wait after your game, even if a court is open. Scoreholio starts the next set of games after the entire round is complete.
Keep winning, and you can work your way to Court 1!
