## Custom Dashboards

Custom Dashboards let organizers build live tournament displays for TVs, tablets, projectors, and other screens.

To get started:

1. Go to **Scoreholio.com** and sign in as an organizer.
2. Open **Dashboards**.
3. Click **New Dashboard**.
4. Enter a name and choose a template.
5. Add widgets, arrange your layout, and click **Save**.

You can also open **Run a Tournament** → **Admin** → **Remote Mode** → **Custom Dashboards** to display dashboards during an event.

## Guest List

Guest List lets organizers control who can register, who is blocked, and who gets discounts.

To use it:

1. Go to **Run a Tournament** and create a tournament.
2. Open **Restrictions and Guest List**.
3. Enable **Invite Only**, **Exclusion List**, or **VIP List**.
4. Open your tournament **Admin**.
5. Go to **Players/Teams** and click **Manage Guest List**.

#### **Can players submit scores from their phones?**

Yes! Enable [*Player Scoring*](/scoreboards-and-dashboards/player-scoring) and participants can report scores directly from their own devices—no extra equipment needed.

#### **Do I have to spend a lot to use Scoreholio?**

Not at all! You can run full tournaments using just your phone and kiosk mode for free. [Subscriptions](/getting-started/subscriptions) and tablets become useful at scale, but the core tools are free and fully functional.

#### **Can I just run a quick backyard tournament?**

Absolutely. Tap *Run a Tournament* and follow along with Ben’s [Switcholio](/tournament/team-generation/switcholio) tutorial for an easy, fun backyard event.

#### **Can I run a weekly League using Scoreholio?**

#### **Can I use different emails for player and organizer accounts?**

Yes! It’s common to share an organizer login with a partner while keeping your personal player profile separate. Use [**Organizer Assist**](/run-a-tournament/organizer-assist) to assign additional organizers to help run your event smoothly.

#### **Is “best of” play available?**

Yes — and then some. We offer best-of-3, best-of-5, and best-of-7 formats, with additional options for [set-schedule leagues ](/best-of-must-play-set-schedule)to have teams MUST PLAY 3-5 and 7. Just note that "[Best Of](/tournament-admin/best-of)" play requires a Pro subscription.

#### **Can I add a late team or player?**

* **Round Robin tournaments:** Yes, you can add them—and the system will see that they are late and catch them up to the field.&#x20;
* **Elimination brackets:** Not directly. Adding a late team means recreating the bracket, which can shuffle matchups. A better workaround: add them at check-in and place them in *timeout* court assignments until they're ready.

## Player vs Organizer accounts

Scoreholio has **two separate account types**: **Player** and **Organizer**. Each serves a different purpose and operates independently within the app.

**Player Accounts**

* Used to track stats, rankings, and participate in tournaments.
* Login is only available through the **Scoreholio app** under the **PLAYER PROFILE** tab.
* No password is required—login is verified via an email code.
* **SPR+ is a player-only upgrade** and does not affect an Organizer account.

**Organizer Accounts**

* Required to **run tournaments** on Scoreholio.
* Login requires an **email and password**.
* To create an Organizer account, go to the **RUN A TOURNAMENT** section in the app.
* Organizer accounts can be accessed on both the **app** and the [**Scoreholio website**](https://docs.scoreholio.com/getting-started/www.scoreholio.com).
* You can log in on **multiple devices** using the same Organizer account.
* **All Organizer subscriptions include SPR+**, but if you have a separate SPR+ subscription, you’ll need to cancel it manually in the app store.

#### **Important Notes**

* Player and Organizer accounts are **completely separate**—you can use the same or different emails for each.
* Want help running your tournament? Use [**Organizer Assist** ](/run-a-tournament/organizer-assist)to grant access to additional organizers.

## Managing your Scoreholio Subscription

Scoreholio **does not** accept or store any credit card or payment information within the app. All subscription payments are processed through the app store on your device.

How to Upgrade to a Paid Organizer Subscription&#x20;

All upgrades are handled by the app store and must be upgraded through your mobile phone or tablet.&#x20;

## Upgrading Annual Subscription from one level to another

#### **Upgrading Your Annual Subscription**

If you upgrade your **Scoreholio annual subscription** from one level to another, the process varies depending on your device:

**📱 Android (Google Play)**

* Any **remaining balance** from your current plan is **applied to the new plan**.
* Once that balance reaches **zero**, your new plan will renew at the **full yearly price**.
* Your **renewal date will move closer** than before, reflecting the applied balance.
* The new renewal date is when you will be charged at your **new subscription level**.

**🍏 iOS (Apple App Store)**

* Apple **refunds the remaining balance** from your current plan.
* Then, it **charges you** for the **new subscription level**.
* You will see **two transactions**: one **refund** and one **new charge**.
* Your **renewal date resets** to **one year from the date of your upgrade**.

## How to Cancel Your Scoreholio Subscription

Since Scoreholio is a mobile app, your subscription is managed through your device’s app store (Apple App Store or Google Play).

If you want to cancel your subscription, you’ll need to do so directly through your app store’s subscription settings.

If you’re having trouble finding where your subscriptions are managed, you can open the **Scoreholio app** and go to **Player Profile - Upgrade to SPR+ - Manage Subscription**. This will take you directly to your app store’s subscription page where you can view, update, or cancel your Scoreholio subscription.

# Transfer Organizer Account

Done running tournaments and want to transfer your account? Here is how

IMPORTANT! DO NOT make a new account with the email you want to transfer the account to. If you do that account and ALL tournaments created on it will need to be deleted. If you already made the new account with the new email [contact live support](/getting-started/live-chat).&#x20;

Then you can do the steps below.

## Steps for transferring an account

1. If you are currently paying for a subscription, [cancel the subscription](/getting-started/subscriptions#canceling-a-subscription) in your app store.&#x20;
2. Go to edit your [organizer profile](/run-a-tournament/editing-organizer-profile#quick-start-guide)
3. Edit the password to be a new easy password you can share with the new owner.&#x20;
4. Change the email address on the account and then click the update button on the bottom of the screen.&#x20;
5. Share the new email and password with the new owner.&#x20;
6. Share with them how to change the password to their own password

## Reset Match in a Bracket - Basic Scoring

* Log in to the admin panel.
* Go to the **Bracket** tab or tap the three lines in the top left, then select **Bracket**.
* Click on the incorrect bracket match.
* Click **Reset Match**.
* Click the bracket match again, enter the correct score, and tap **Submit**.

## Update a score in a Bracket - Visual only does not change outcome

* Log in to the admin panel.
* Go to the **Bracket** tab or tap the three lines in the top left, then select **Bracket**.
* Click on the incorrect bracket match.
* **Update** the scores in the team score boxes.
* Click the **Update Score Only** button.

## Swap Scores in a Round Robin

* Log in to the admin panel.
* Go to the **Stats and Logs** tab or tap the three lines in the top left, then select **Stats and Logs**.
* Click on the game that was submitted backwards.
* Click the **Swap Scores** button.

## Update Scores in a Round Robin

* Log in to the admin panel.
* Go to the **Stats and Logs** tab or tap the three lines in the top left, then select **Stats and Logs**.
* Click on the game that was submitted backwards.
* Click the **Update Scores** button.
* Put the correct scores in the boxes and click the Update Scores button

## Fixing ScoreMagic rounds in a Round Robin or Bracket

Fixing scoremagic round scores will update the Bag Stats on the players profile. It will NOT update the SPR change on a players game history. Each player affected would have to request a correction here:[ Requesting a correction](/player-profile/spr+-1#requesting-a-correction)

* Log in to the admin panel.
* Go to the **Stats and Logs** tab or tap the three lines in the top left, then select **Stats and Logs**.
* Click on the game that Scoremagic needs to change.
* Click the **Update ScoreMagic Rounds** button.
* Click the boxes on the bottom of the scoreboard that appears to change the rounds
* Go back to the Stats and Logs Tab in admin and click **Recalculate PPR**

## Fixing a score in Set Schedule - Best of or Must Play

* Log in to the admin panel.
* Go to the **Schedule** tab or tap the three lines in the top left, then select **Schedule**.
* Click the **Edit** button next to the game that needs to be changed.
* Click the **Reset Entire Match** button.
* This will reset all match stats for the entire game and set it to **TBD**.
* Put the match back onto a court and open the scoreboard.
* Score the games as they should have been and tap **Submit**.<br>

# Run a Demo Tournament

### Running a Test Tournament with Fake Players/Teams

If you want to practice running tournaments, test different formats, or learn how Scoreholio works without involving real players, you can import **fake players or teams** and run a full test event. This is a great way to explore scoring, bracketing, court flow, and tournament management without affecting real stats.

### How to Run a Test Tournament

#### **1. Create a Private Tournament**

When creating your test event, set  to **PRIVATE**.\
This prevents the tournament from appearing on the *Find a Tournament* list where players look for live events.

#### **2. Import Fake Players or Teams**

1. Go to **Run a Tournament** and open your list of tournaments.
2. Select the tournament you created and tap **Admin**.
3. In the Admin screen, click the **green “More Options”** button.
4. Select **Import**.
5. On the Import screen:
   * Change the **second dropdown** to **“Fake Players for a Test Tournament.”**
   * Use the **third dropdown** to choose the type of fake players or teams you want to import.
6. Highlight the players/teams you want from the list.
7. Tap **Import Selected Teams**.

Once imported, you can run your test tournament exactly like a real one. Fake players will progress through matches, letting you experiment freely with formats, settings, scoring, and court flow—without affecting real player stats.

#### **Tips for Team Management**

Managing teams in Scoreholio becomes much easier once you get comfortable clicking around to see what options appear. Most actions will trigger a pop-up with choices, so don’t be afraid to explore!

Here are a few helpful tips to make team adjustments smooth and stress-free:

* **Rearranging players on teams:**\
  After you’ve added fake teams or players, scroll down to your list of teams. (This works even if your tournament is set to Singles.)\
  Click on a player on a team— if it’s a Singles tournament, click the single player. on their own team.\
  Select **“Remove player from team”** to bump that player up to the **Sub/Unassigned Players** list.
* **Adding a new player manually:**\
  In the **Add a Player** section, enter the player’s first and last name (email is optional).\
  Make sure their placement is set to **Unassigned Player/Sub**.\
  Then scroll to the  **Unassigned/Sub**  list, find the player you added, click their name, and move them to the team you want.

This workflow helps with handling subs, making manual adjustments, or fixing teams on the fly.\

2. **Computers:** You can also create and run Scoreholio tournaments [on computers using modern web browsers](https://app.scoreholio.com/login.html) like Chrome, Firefox or Safari.
3. **Amazon devices:** A companion [Amazon app](https://www.amazon.com/Scoreholio/dp/B07D275HZC) lets you display scoreboards and dashboards on [Fire tablets or with a FireTV stick,](https://www.scoreholio.com/recommended-devices/) 4th generation or later.


# WIfi and Hotspots

You do need whatever device you’re using to manage the tournament to have access to the internet. Most people use their phone for that, so no problem.

From there, [setting up scoreboards](/scoreboards-and-dashboards/scoreboards-and-dashboards) at each court takes your tournament to the next level, and they do need internet connectivity. Displaying a [dashboard](/scoreboards-and-dashboards/display-dashboard-on-a-tv) on a monitor, projector or TV can also make an event more fun, and that’s obviously got to have internet access too.

If you’re in a location without WiFi you can use a mobile hotspot, either your phone’s or a MiFi device.&#x20;

## Overcoming Weak Wifi

If your venue has weak WiFi, here are some things to know and try. The strength of connection from the router to the tablets and fire sticks is more important than the *speed* of the internet connection. Also, both distance and line of sight matter, so set up your devices as close as you can to the WiFi router, via as unobstructed a path as you can manage. Some organizers have found that simply opening the door to the closet where the router is can help.

## Problematic Wifi or None at All

If you can’t address your weak WiFi situation and get full signal on your devices by trying those things, or you’ve got no connectivity at all (like at a park or something) you’ll want to set up a mobile hotspot for your scoreboards and dashboard to connect to. In a pinch you can use your phone, but it’s better to set up a “MiFi” device. (By the way, Scoreholio doesn’t use very much data, less than 1 MB for a multi-hour tournament on as many as 8 courts.)

MiFi devices are mobile routers that can be connected to a cellular network and provide internet access for up to ten devices. All of the major carriers offer them, so you can buy one through your carrier at an electronics store or online.

# Fixing - Changing Team Generation

Made a tournament as a blind draw then decided to change it to a switch and now it looks all your players are gone? Don't worry we got you covered.

## The Why - &#x20;

When changing team generation **to** or **from** a blind draw in Scoreholio the players will disappear. Do not worry they are not completely gone. A blind draw players sign up as a player to be put on a team, every other team generation players sign up as a team (singles and switch are a team of 1).

## The Fix - &#x20;

To get your players from the blind draw to your new team generation or vice versa you need to import the players from the same tournament to the same tournament.\
\
Go into the admin of your tournament, click the “more options” button on the **player tab** in admin. Click the import button. You may need to change the second drop down to “pre-registered players from a blind draw” or something else depending on where you are going to or from.

Highlight the players that you want to import and import them to checked in or pre-registration of the new team generation.<br>

You may notice that this will show double the amount of players in your tournament. You can go back and edit your tournament back to a blind draw or vice versa, and delete the players from the other team generation, then toggle back. Everyone will still be in the new team generation and your registration numbers will be correct


# Account Setup

Check in and pre-register for any tournament on Scoreholio. Create a QR code and verify your email.

## Quick-Step Guide

1. Click the Green Player Profile button
2. Click "Create Account"&#x20;
3. Enter First Name, Last Name, Email
4. Click the RED "Send Verification Email"
5. Check your email for a 4 digit code
6. Enter the 4 digit code and click Validate Code

## Logging Into Your Player Profile on Multiple Devices

If you want to stay logged into your **Player Profile** on more than one device at the same time, make sure you use the **same verification code** across all devices.

**Important:**\
Every time you tap **“Send Verification”**, a *new* code is generated. If you generate a new code, previously used codes will no longer work.

To log in on multiple devices:

1. On your first device, tap **“Send Verification”** and use the code you receive via email.
2. On each additional device, instead of sending a new code, tap **“I already have a code”** (located directly below the “Send Verification” button).
3. Enter the **same code** you used on the first device.
4. You can repeat this process to log in on **unlimited devices**, as long as you continue using that same code.

This allows you to stay synced across phones, tablets, and more—without needing to log out anywhere.

# SPR (Scoreholio Player Rating)

The most advanced dynamic player rating across all sports on the Scoreholio app.

* **Provisional Accounts**: Accounts with less than 10 games on their profile will not affect the SPR of everyone playing. Provisional accounts will have a SPR change.&#x20;
* **No Account, No change:** If any player on a team does not have a Scoreholio account the entire match will not have an SPR change for any player.&#x20;

**For Cornhole:**

* **When using** [**Scoremagic**](/scoreboards-and-dashboards/scoremagic) **:** SPR calculation will be based on the overall match AND your individual performance.
* **Not Playing, No change:** When using Scoremagic if you did not throw a round in the match your SPR will not be affected.
* **Scoremagic Toggle switch** A player can now toggle if they want SPR to be calculated when using Basic Scoring. Read more [here](#disable-spr-calculation-when-individual-performance-cannot-be-tracked).

## What is SPR?&#x20;

Scoreholio Player Rating is the most advanced real-time rating system for players using the Scoreholio app. Players are rated 1-100 based on game results.

## Who can have a SPR rating?&#x20;

SPR is available for anyone that plays a sport on the Scoreholio app. Every game that is submitted in the app can have a corresponding change to your SPR.\
​&#x20;

## How is the SPR rating calculated?&#x20;

Everyone starts with an SPR of 50. When you win it goes up, and when you lose it goes down. How much? That depends! Beating somebody with a higher SPR will reward you more than beating somebody with a lower one, while losing to an opponent with a higher SPR won’t punish you as much as losing to a lesser opponent. At the same time, a big win or loss with a differential of 15 points will affect your rating more than a narrow 1 or 2 point win or loss. (If you’re familiar with Elo rating system, it’s like that!)

#### Cornhole Only:&#x20;

A player can toggle on and off if you would like to only calculate your SPR when using Scoremagic. Allowing [disable SPR calculation when individual performance cannot be tracked ](#disable-spr-calculation-when-individual-performance-cannot-be-tracked)will have the SPR calculation be your overall team's outcome COMBINED with your individual performance against your direct opponent.

## What is a provisional player?&#x20;

Scoreholio considers you a provisional player when you first start playing. You must **establish yourself** by playing 10 games to become a ranked player. Games played against a provisional player will result in **NO SPR** movement for the opponent. However, the Provisional player will move up and down based on the Scoreholio SPR calculation above. ​&#x20;

## Why was the SPR change for my game 0.00?

When you click on the game from your play history there will be notes as to why your score was 0.00.&#x20;

Reason #1: One of the players in the match was a provisional player (See above for what a provisional player is)

Reason #2: Someone on one of the teams was not a registered player. Meaning they did not provide an email address. Unfortunately we cannot calculate SPR if a player does not have a Scoreholio account.

Reason #3: You have the [disable SPR calculation](#when-toggle-is-on) toggle on and used basic scoring.&#x20;

#### How to check

## Which results go into my SPR?&#x20;

All of your results will go into your SPR. When the game is submitted the Scoreholio system will automatically calculate the results and give you a new rating based on performance.&#x20;

## Cornhole only: Why did my SPR go down when I won?&#x20;

​This can happen based on your individual performance using Scoremagic. Scoreholio will calculate your SPR based on your team's overall performance as well as your individual performance. If your team won the match, but you lost to your opponent your SPR can go down after a win.&#x20;

## I play tournaments, but I don't see any of my results on my profile?&#x20;

This could mean that the organizer of the tournament had the tournament set to test mode. Please check with your organizer and make sure they have it set to live. Unfortunately, because SPR is calculated in real-time there is no way to add games onto a profile.

## Which matches do not count toward my SPR?&#x20;

* Matches where one of the players is a provisional player. (Does not have more than 10 games on their profile)&#x20;
* When a player on your team or the opponent's team did not provide an email.&#x20;
* **Cornhole Only: Scoremagic not being used** If you toggle on “Disable SPR Calculation when individual performance cannot be tracked” Any team game that is using basic scoring will be recorded as a 0 SPR change ​

## Requesting a Correction

You must request a correction within 8 days of your game being played. We cannot delete games further than 8 days out.&#x20;

Please note, Scoreholio can only delete this game from your history. Any change in SPR will go back to your overall SPR. Games that have been corrected and deleted cannot be undone.&#x20;

When you request a correction a push notification will go out to all the players in the tournament the game was played in. Your peers will be able to vote to approve or reject the correction.

## ​ How long does it take for ratings to update?&#x20;

Ratings are updated immediately after you submit a game in the Scoreholio app.

## What is SPR used for?

SPR is used to generate global and club rankings, both of which are accessible via the rankings tab. Global Ranking is a list of the top 10,000 players listed by the highest SPR and Club Ranking is that of the club that you’ve played the most events with.

* You can use SPR to sort groups when playing a [Split Switch ](/tournament/team-generation/split-switch)format
* You can seed by SPR by clicking the "Get SPR" button before going to a bracket.&#x20;

#### Where is the toggle?

* For a singles tournament, your SPR will be calculated while using basic scoring or Scoremagic

#### When toggle is off:

* SPR will be calculated based on the teams win/loss and margin of victory while using basic scoring.

#### Disable SPR for Handicap-Affected Matches

When this toggle is **enabled**, SPR will **not** be calculated for any match where a handicap has been applied. This prevents handicapped games from impacting Scoreholio Player Rating.

#### Important Clarification

* SPR is disabled **only for matches that are actually affected by a handicap**.
* If a tournament has handicaps enabled but a specific match **does not have a handicap assigned**, that match **will still count toward SPR**.

## Ghostholio

Ghostholio is a practice format where you are playing against an invisible opponent. You throw your 4 bags against a "ghost" and score against the ghost like you normally would. Scoreholio has different scoring options for the ghost. \
**Ghost numbered scoring:** Pick a static number for the ghost to throw every round (1-11)\
**Ghost Levels:** Choose a range of numbers for the ghost to throw per round. The system will randomly have the ghost score within the array. Easy (1-3) Medium (4-6) Hard (7-9) Expert (10-12)\
**Ghost Ben:** The owner of Scoreholio, Ben, is the most erratic player on the planet. He can score anywhere between 1-12 at any time. Try your luck beating the owner of Scoreholio

## RoundHolio

Roundholio  is a practice format in cornhole where you throw 10 rounds  (or more rounds if you choose) of bags back and forth and add up your overall score. The great thing about doing it on Scoreholio is that with [SPR+](/player-profile/spr+-1) you can track every bag you throw.&#x20;

# Editing your profile

Edit your name, display name, and your home club.

**Quick-Step Guide: Editing Your Player Profile**

1. Click the **green Player Profile** button.
2. Tap the **settings wheel** in the bottom right corner.
3. Make your changes in the **Edit Player Profile** section.
4. Click the **red Update** button to save your changes.

## Home Club/Organization&#x20;

Want to see how you rank against other players in your club? Here’s what you need to know about club designation in Scoreholio:

* To be added to a club, you must register for a tournament using your email—whether through **Scan-In, Pre-Registration, or manual entry**—and play at least **one game**.
* Scoreholio **automatically assigns** you to the club where you play your first game.
* Any new club you play in will appear as an option in the **dropdown menu**.
* You must **participate in at least one tournament** at a club for it to become an available option.
* **Club updates occur nightly at 2:00 AM PST**. If you switch clubs, check back in the morning to see the update.

This is where you can name your club and upload a logo.

**Public**\
Provide the contact details you want displayed on your club's about page. You do not have to complete everything—anything left blank will not be shown to the public.

Choose whether to list your club in the "Find a Club" tab, set its location, and write a description for your club.

Group Discussion Feeds are real-time conversation spaces built directly into Scoreholio that allow players, organizers, and fans to communicate around a shared event, tournament, or club.

Think of them as a **live social feed for your competition community**.

Inside a feed, users can post messages, share images or media, react to posts, and participate in discussions with others who are part of the same group. These feeds are integrated directly into the Scoreholio experience, making them a natural place for players to interact before, during, and after events.

Group Discussion Feeds exist in several areas of Scoreholio including:

Tournament feeds are tied directly to a specific tournament.

Club feeds allow members of a club to interact outside of tournaments.

Clubs can use these feeds to:

* Share club news
* Post photos from events

## AI Moderation and Community Safety

To maintain a safe and welcoming environment, **all Group Discussion Feeds are actively monitored using automated moderation systems**.

This includes the use of **AI-based moderation tools** that analyze posted content such as:

* Text messages
* Images
* Media uploads
* User interactions

These systems help detect and flag content that may violate platform guidelines.

#### Zero-Tolerance for Abuse

Scoreholio maintains a **zero-tolerance policy** for inappropriate behavior including, but not limited to:

* Harassment or bullying
* Hate speech or discriminatory language
* Threats or intimidation
* Sexual or explicit content
* Illegal or harmful activity
* Spam or malicious links

Users who violate these guidelines may face enforcement actions including:

* Post removal
* Temporary restrictions
* Account suspension
* Permanent bans from the platform

Scoreholio reserves the right to remove any content or restrict access to the system **at its sole discretion** if behavior is deemed harmful to the community.

Repeated violations may result in permanent removal from Scoreholio services.

## Age Requirements

Group Discussion Feeds are **only available to users who are 13 years of age or older**.

By accessing or participating in any discussion feed, you confirm that:

* You are **at least 13 years old**, and
* You are legally permitted to use online communication services in your region.

If we become aware that a user under the age of 13 is participating in discussion feeds, the associated account may be restricted or removed in order to comply with applicable online safety regulations.

## Blocking and Banning Users

Scoreholio provides tools that allow users to control their experience by banning or blocking other users.

#### What Happens When You Ban Someone

When you ban another user:

* Their posts and comments will **no longer be visible to you**
* Your posts and comments will **no longer be visible to them**
* Interactions between the two accounts are **fully hidden from each other**

This helps prevent unwanted interactions and allows users to maintain a comfortable experience within discussion feeds.

#### When to Use the Ban Feature

You may want to ban someone if they are:

* Harassing you
* Posting abusive content
* Spamming discussions
* Engaging in toxic behavior

Blocking is immediate and private. The banned user will not receive detailed information about who banned them.

Organizers and platform moderators may also take additional action if abusive behavior continues across the platform.


# Command Center

The **Group Discussion Command Center** is the central hub for all discussion activity across your **tournaments** and **clubs**.

From this location, you can stay up to date with the latest conversations, manage the groups you follow, view notifications, and control your discussion settings.

The Command Center makes it easy to keep track of everything happening across the Scorheolio discussion system without needing to navigate into each tournament or club individually.

## What You Can Do in the Command Center

### Latest Tab

The **Latest** tab displays the most recent and active discussions across your groups that you follow.

Here you can quickly see:

* The newest posts and comments
* Trending or active conversations
* The latest updates from tournaments and clubs you follow

This tab helps you stay on top of **hot topics and ongoing discussions**.

### Groups Tab

The **Groups** tab shows all discussion groups that you are currently following.

From here you can:

* View all tournaments and clubs you follow
* Click any group to **join the conversation**
* **Unfollow groups** to stop receiving updates from them

#### Suggested Groups

Within the Groups tab, you will also see **Suggested Groups**.

Suggested groups include tournaments or clubs that:

* You are **registered in**
* You have **played in previously**
* Have an **active discussion feed available**

You can join these discussions to start participating in the conversation.

You will receive notifications when:

The **Settings** tab allows you to manage your discussion preferences.

#### Notification Settings

Control how and when you receive push notifications.

You can choose to:

* Turn **all notifications off**
* Enable **all notifications**
* Customize exactly **which notifications get pushed to you**

This allows you to control how frequently you are notified about activity in your groups.

#### Blocked Users

The **Blocked Users** section allows you to manage users you have blocked.

From here you can:

* View the list of users you have blocked
* Unblock users if you wish to see their posts and comments again


# Tournament Feeds

**Tournament Feeds** allow players and organizers to communicate within a dedicated discussion space for a specific tournament. These feeds make it easy to ask questions, share updates, coordinate logistics, and collaborate with everyone involved in the event.

Each tournament can have its own discussion group where organizers and participants can create posts, comment on topics, and share media depending on the permissions set by the organizer.

## Enabling Tournament Feeds (Organizer)

Tournament Feeds can be enabled during tournament creation.

#### Steps

1. Go to the **Run a Tournament** tab.
2. Click **Create New**.
3. Select **Tournament**.
4. Scroll down to the **Group Discussion** section.\ <br>

## Group Discussion Settings

Organizers can control how the discussion feed works using the following options.

#### Feed Visibility

Controls **who can open the discussion feed and read posts and comments**.

#### Post Permissions

Controls **who can create topic posts** in the discussion feed.

#### Comment Permissions

Controls **who can comment on topic posts**.

#### Media Permissions

Controls **who can post images or videos** in the discussion.

After configuring these options, **create your tournament** to activate the discussion feed.

## How Organizers Post in the Discussion Feed

Organizers interact with the feed through their **Organizer account**, not their player profile.

#### Steps

1. Go to **Run a Tournament**.
2. Select your tournament.
3. Click **Discussion**.

Posts made here will appear as coming from the **tournament organizer**, not from your personal player profile.

Posts and comments made here will appear under the player's **player profile**, not as an organizer.\ <br>

# Club Feeds

* Coordinating **equipment players should bring**
* Finding **players looking for games**

* Maintaining general **communication within the club**

## Requirements

To use Club Feeds, you must first create a [**Club Page**](/find-a-club/create-your-club-page).

Creating a Club Page requires a **Competitive Level Subscription**.

5. Configure your **discussion permissions**.

# Round Robin

Scoreholio’s Round Robin format allows teams to compete against random opponents while ensuring they don’t play the same team twice. A running leaderboard tracks results, and once all rounds are compl

## How Scoreholio Manages Round Robin Scheduling

Unlike traditional Round Robin formats that generate a fixed schedule, Scoreholio dynamically assigns matches to maximize court usage. Instead of pre-determined matchups, Scoreholio prioritizes efficiency by continuously filling open courts.

#### **How It Works:**

* When a team finishes a match, they move to the bottom of the **Coming Up** section.
* Teams at the top of the **Coming Up** section are assigned to the next available court.
* Scoreholio ensures teams don’t play each other twice.

#### **Optimizing Your Tournament Setup**

To use Scoreholio’s Round Robin effectively, you **must have more teams than courts.** Unlike traditional methods where 3 courts mean invite 6 teams, Scoreholio allows more teams to participate without extending the tournament duration.

Another key advantage is the ability to **set a specific number of rounds for each team.** Once a team completes their assigned rounds, they automatically move to the **Finished/Not Playing** section. This is different from traditional Round Robin formats, where every team must play every other team once, which can significantly extend the tournament length.

If you have **the same number of teams as courts**, a[ **Time-Based Set Schedule**](/tournament/tournament-formats/set-schedule) is a better option to ensure smooth gameplay.

## Setting # of Rounds

With Scoreholio's Round Robin format, you set how many rounds you want players to play before going into a finished/not playing section. For help choosing courts and rounds, see [Setting the Right Number of Courts and Rounds](/guides/setting-the-right-number-of-courts-and-rounds).

To break it down quickly, remember these rules:

1. **4 is Your Friend:** If you run four games, you’ll always be golden.(Especially for [Switcholio](/tournament/team-generation/switcholio))
2. **Odd + Odd = Bad:** Don’t run an odd # of games *and* an odd # of teams.

## Setting # of Courts

To break it down quickly, it is best to have at least 3 people or teams not playing at a given time. Scoreholio will always fill an open court if it can. To prevent players from going back to back on the same court, keep players or teams in the coming up section.

## Starting the Tournament

Click here to find out how to [add players or teams](broken://pages/-MOYVWPRHY9MtotBOFKV). For this example we have created a [blind draw](/tournament/team-generation/blind-draw-1) Round Robin tournament. You will have to randomize your players onto teams before clicking the start tournament button. Any other team generation you would just click the start tournament button.

Click on Run a Tournament, click on the tournament you are running, click on Admin.

## Running the Tournament

Click on the top left and select Round Robin. Here you can see all the people on the courts. If you want to set up [scoreboards](/scoreboards-and-dashboards/scoreboards-and-dashboards), [Player Scoring](/scoreboards-and-dashboards/player-scoring), or [kiosk mode](/scoreboards-and-dashboards/kiosk-mode) you can or you can enter scores right here in [admin](broken://pages/-MR2cnGkKror2ColK9ou).

## Seeded Playoffs

After your round robin you can take teams to a seeded playoffs that are based on the results of the round robin. Click the top left menu and button then click playoffs.

# Single Elimination

## Definition

&#x20;**Single elimination** brackets are draw formats where the winner of each match advances to the next round, and the loser is eliminated from winning the championship or first place in the division.

## Seeding a Bracket

If this is a normal tournament and you want to seed your bracket you can do it 1 of two ways:

### Seed by Dragging

You can quickly seed your bracket by clicking on the bracket tab in admin and then click the green "Create Bracket" button. Next, you will click the "Change Seeding" button. This allows you to click and drag teams up and down the list to change their seed. When you are finished, click the change seeding button again.&#x20;

### Seed by Team SPR

Your other option for seeding a tournament is to add a Team SPR to each team. Remember the higher the number the lower the seed. EX. If you have 100 players you would give the #1 seed 100 points. Then the #2 seed 99 points and so on. When you go to create the bracket players/teams will be sorted by the highest number first.&#x20;

You can do this by clicking on the setup tab in admin then players. Click on each team and manually add the Team SPR. Make sure you are clicking on the TEAM, NOT the players that are on the team in admin.&#x20;

# Double Elimination

## Double Elimination Bracket

&#x20;**Double elimination** brackets are broken up into a winners **bracket** and a losers **bracket**, with the winner of the loser's **bracket** playing the winner of the winner's **bracket** for first place. Losers of matches in the winners **bracket** dropdown into a spot and play another loser to see who advances in the loser's **bracket**.

## Cons for running a Double Elimination Tournament

The law of diminishing courts is the greatest pitfall of a double elimination tournament. By the end of your tournament your losers bracket will be waiting for teams to lose in the upper bracket. Causing players to sit around waiting for an opponent. # Pool Play

Fair Matchups, Fast Action, and All the Fun

Pool Play is a popular format that groups teams into smaller "pools," where each team plays every other team in their group once. It’s a great way to ensure balanced competition and keep things organized. Matches are spread across all available courts to keep the action flowing and the tournament moving smoothly.

Unlike other software that locks each pool to its own court, Scoreholio distributes matchups across *all* available courts. This means teams get to play on different courts, enhancing the player experience. It also prevents situations where a team ends up playing all day on the championship court—eliminating any sense of “home court advantage” later in the tournament. Plus, Scoreholio schedules pool games in a way that ensures all pools finish around the same time, so one slow-moving pool doesn’t hold up the entire event. Efficient, fair, and fun—that’s how we roll.

## Assigning teams to a pool

## Start Pool Play

**Important:** Be sure to click the **Start Tournament** button to begin pool play. This step assigns teams to their designated pools and ensures that each team plays every other team in their pool only once.

# Set Schedule

Plan out a weeks long league for your group. Scoreholio will track stats throughout the weeks.

## Turning on Set Schedule

A Set Schedule is a game format when creating a tournament. Use the drop-down and select Set Schedule.&#x20;

**IMPORTANT:** Make sure you set the date and time to be the first game of the first week of your league. The entire schedule will be made according to that date and time.&#x20;

**Games per Match**

**Best of**&#x20;

1. **Best of** - Win best of 3, 5 or 7.  Example: One team wins 2 matches, they have won the game.&#x20;
2. **Must Play** - Must play the players will play the full 3, 5 or 7 matches. Teams will play every game in the match, then after that match will play their next match against a new team.

### Rank By

1. **Match Win % -** A match is considered a set of games against another opponent (Best of or Must Play). Example: If you choose best 2/3 as your games per match. When one team wins 2 games they will be 1 and 0 in matches. Tiebreakers will be Match win % - total match losses (descending order) and then total points.&#x20;
2. **Game Win % -** A game is considered 1 game against another opponent. In a match play (Best of or Must Play) every game played would count towards the game win %. Tiebreakers will be Game Win % - total game losses (descending order) then total points.

## Adding Players or Teams to Set Schedule

* Go to the admin of your tournament
* If you would like to [scan players](broken://pages/-MOYVWPRHY9MtotBOFKV) in or use [pre-registration](/adding-teams/preg) that works too.&#x20;
* You can also add teams/players manually
* If it is teams add your team names to the team's section
* To add players to the teams put in the player's first name and last initial and then add the player's email address. If/When a player downloads the app and verifies their email on the player profile tab they will get alerts throughout the league schedule.&#x20;
* Click on the player name and "Move Player" to their team.&#x20;
* Note: You can add a player to a team at any point during your league to start getting them alerts. Either scan them onto the team or add their name and email manually.&#x20;

## Setting the Schedule

Once you have added all of your teams into your admin it is time to Setup the Schedule. Click the blue-button "Setup Schedule".

Only CHECKED-IN teams will be put in the schedule. Make sure all teams you have in Pre-reg, that you want in your schedule, get checked in before creating it.&#x20;

You MUST have an even amount of teams. If you have odd teams for your league you will have to add a team named "Bye" and manually give teams a win over the Bye team.

Once a Schedule is created there is NO WAY to add or remove teams

## Mass Editing the Schedule

## Time Based Schedule

A time based Schedule is your typical Set Schedule where a player will know who they are playing at what time and on what court throughout the entire league.&#x20;

* Choose how many weeks you would like your league to run.&#x20;
* Choose the number of matches&#x20;
* Choose how long your matches take to finish.  You may want to add a buffer amount of time to your schedule so there is enough time for games that go over the length of time and allow teams to get on and off the courts.&#x20;
* **Multiple Days in the Same Week:** We do allow you to have the option to select your league playing on multiple days in the same week. Note that if you do select this option your teams will only play ONCE per week. You cannot have teams playing multiple times if choosing multiple days.&#x20;

## Optimized Schedule

Best used when you have MORE teams than the courts can accomodate.&#x20;

An optimized schedule is a unique twist on a typical set schedule. Instead of setting specific times and courts for players to play on the Scoreholio system will optimize courts making sure they are filled throughout the night. Teams will know WHO they are playing for the night, but not necessarily in what order they will play the teams. It is the most efficient way to run a set schedule league.

* Set the Number of Weeks you want your league to run
* Set the Number of times you want a team to play each week
* **PRO TIP:** To prevent teams from playing on the same court throughout the night go to "Manage Courts" in admin and block back-to-back courts.&#x20;

Note in both examples at the bottom of the schedule the system will tell you how many times each team will play each other. In our examples, 6 teams will play each other 4 times.&#x20;

## Editing a Schedule

Once you have created your schedule the system will flip over to the Schedule tab and you can see the entire schedule for your league. If you would like to edit your schedule click on the edit box next to any game:&#x20;

Here you can edit any aspect of the game. Please note that if you are moving a game from 1 week to another week you do have to change what week that game will fall into. Do NOT just change the date. The week matters

## Playing the Schedule

To start a week on the set schedule click on the Round Robin tab in Admin. Find the drop down box labeled "Set Active Schedule" Select the week you are playing and click "update". This will bring in the active week you are playing.&#x20;

Note that the game status will remain as "Setup" until you set an active schedule. When an active schedule is set the game status will automatically change to Game Play allowing the players to see the full schedule on their phone apps.&#x20;

## Starting the next week

When you have completed week 1 of your schedule and you are ready to start week 2 simply Set week 2 as the active schedule. Note that the system will update your tournament listing within the app based on the date and time of the week you are in. There is no need to go back and edit that information as you move along your league.&#x20;


# Swissholio

Round Robin style play where teams play other teams of similar record

## What is Swissholio?

With a swissholio style tournament teams will play a round-robin tournament set to the number of rounds you would like them to play. Each round will wait for the previous round to finish. Teams will be sorted based on their record, total points, and points against. When the previous round ends the system will fill your next round with teams from top to bottom avoiding duplicate match ups.

## Rules for a Swissholio tournament

There are a few intricacies with running a swissholio style tournament:

1. For set teams, singles and blind-draw you must have an even amount of teams or players
2. For a switcholio tournament you will need a multiple of 4 players in the tournament

# Ladder

## What is a Ladder League

A Ladder League is a competitive format in Scoreholio where players or teams are grouped each round (or week) to play a full round robin against everyone in their group. After each round, players or teams are either promoted to a higher group or relegated to a lower group based on their performance. This system ensures balanced competition, with players continually moving up or down to face opponents of similar skill levels, keeping the matches both fun and competitive as the league progresses.

## Adding players to a Ladder League and initial Ladder Rank

To [add players](/adding-teams/preg) or teams to a Ladder League, head to the **Tournament Admin** section as usual. In the **Players/Teams** tab, add all participants by listing them as either individual players or teams. Then, click on each player or team name to assign an **initial ladder rank**. This rank determines which starting group the players or teams will be placed in, helping to set balanced matchups from the beginning of the league.

## How Do I Determine the Number of Players Per Group?

**For Set Teams or Singles Ladders:**\
The number of rounds each team or player will play is based on a full round-robin format within their group.

* **Example 1:** If there are 6 teams in a group, each team will play 5 rounds, meaning one match against every other team in their group.
* **Example 2:** If there are 3 teams/players in a group, each team/player will play 2 matches, one against each of the other teams.

Use the chart below to determine the ideal number of players per group based on the number of rounds you want each player to play:

# Backyard Battle

## Backyard Battle

Backyard Battle is a flexible multi-sport tournament format built for players or teams competing across multiple games at the same time.  Backyard Battle gives organizers a Scoreholio-powered way to run it across any mix of sports, games, or activities.

### What Is Backyard Battle?

Backyard Battle lets organizers create a tournament where the same players or teams compete across multiple sports or activities. Each sport gets its own dedicated courts, its own leaderboard, and its own flow of games.

Organizers can use any sport or game they want. The sport does not need to already exist in Scoreholio. You can free-form write in any activity, such as cornhole, darts, billiards, pickleball, popdarts, horseshoes, card games, backyard games, or anything else you want to include.

### Courts by Sport

Each sport can have its own dedicated courts. Organizers can assign as many courts as they want to each sport.

For example:

Cornhole could have 4 courts\
Darts could have 2 boards\
Billiards could have 1 table\
Horseshoes could have 2 pits

Organizers can also pause or start courts as needed. This makes it easy to speed up or slow down a specific sport during the event.

For example, if cornhole is moving too fast, you can pause one of the cornhole courts. If darts is falling behind, you can open more darts boards or resume paused courts.

### Court Setup Tips

For the smoothest Backyard Battle experience, we recommend turning off warm-up timers. Edit your court labels courts based on the sport assigned to each court. This makes it easier for players and organizers to quickly see which sport is being played on each court, especially when multiple games are running at the same time.\ <br>

### Starting Gameplay

To start gameplay, go to the **Round Robin** tab and click the **Advance Game** button.

Scoreholio will scan the upcoming queue, find the next available games, and fill the courts based on player availability. If a player or team is already playing another sport, Scoreholio will skip that game until they are available and place the next eligible game on an open court.

### Court Groups and Court Setup Tips

To re-arrange which sports are assigned to each court, go to the **Round Robin** tab, toggle over to **Court Groups**, and adjust the court assignments there.

For the smoothest Backyard Battle experience, we recommend turning off warm-up timers. Scoreholio will automatically label your courts based on the sport assigned to each court. ### How Scheduling Works

Backyard Battle uses Scoreholio’s familiar [**Set Schedule Optimized**](https://docs.scoreholio.com/) model.

The system scans the upcoming queue and automatically places the next available game onto an open court. If a player or team is already playing on a court in another sport, Scoreholio recognizes that and will not assign them to another court at the same time.

This allows organizers to run multiple sports at once without accidentally double-booking players.

### Scoring Options

Games can be scored using:

Player Scoring\
Scoreholio tablets\
Scoring directly from Admin

For Backyard Battle, the score limit is locked at **99** for all sports. This means the **Submit** button will always be available during the game. Players should not submit the game until the score for that game is final and complete.

Once a game is completed, Scoreholio continues scanning the queue and sends the next available game to the appropriate court.

### Leaderboards

Each sport has its own leaderboard so players and teams can see how they are performing in each individual activity.

Backyard Battle also includes an overall leaderboard that calculates scores across all sports played. This gives organizers and players one main leaderboard to track the full competition.

Players can drop down into each sport-specific leaderboard or view the overall standings across the entire Backyard Battle.

### Custom Dashboards

Backyard Battle works great with Scoreholio’s new [Custom Dashboards](/scoreboards-and-dashboards/custom-dashboards#custom-dashboards).

Organizers can create unique dashboards that show multiple sports, leaderboards, courts, and live activity in real time. This makes it easy to build a fun event display showing everything happening across the Backyard Battle.\ <br>

# Knockout

Using the # of losses category when running a round robin you can create a knockout style tournament.&#x20;

Your tournament will be a normal style Round Robin tournament, however when a team reaches the amount of pre-set losses they will move to the finished not playing section and be out of the round robin.&#x20;

# Team Generation

After selecting your tournaments format the next most important aspect of your tournament is the team generation. Basically how will teams be made or will it be a singles tournament.&#x20;

# Blind Draw

One of the most popular formats for social tournaments, whether one-time or as part of a weekly series of events, is the ‘blind draw’ where players are randomly paired up.

Scoreholio uses something called a random number generator (RNG) to assign random partners in blind draws. RNGs generate a sequence of numbers or symbols that cannot be reasonably predicted better than by a random chance. Scoreholio applies random number generation by generating two random numbers representing players. If those two randomly generated numbers aren’t the same number, then the players they represent are matched up.

If you’re into this kind of thing, here’s the code by which Scoreholio generates random numbers.

## Separating Skill into A/B/C Groups

You can have partnerships randomly generated from one large pool of all players, or assign players to skill-based pools (A/B, or A/B/C) to add parity to the mix. If you do this, the system will first pair all A players with C players. If there are more A’s than C’s, the system will start pairing remaining A’s with B’s. When all A’s have been paired up, the system will start pairing B’s with C's and finally pairing all the B's together. In this situation, Scoreholio’s RNG code generates one random number from the higher pool, then a second random number from the lower pool, and pairs up those players.

## Manually Pairing Partners

&#x20;You can also pair specific people together. You might want to do that if, for example, a couple or set of friends *really* wants to play as a team, or two new players are nervous and just want to play each other. **Simply click on any players name and use the manually pair with option:**

## Auto Split into Groups using stats/metrics

You can also split into groups by players individual stats or metrics. To do that, click on the green "more options" button and then click the "Split Blind Draw Groups" button. \
Choose how you would like your players split, and the system will split the players into groups A and B for you.&#x20;

## Randomize Seeding before starting a bracket

Scoreholio will automatically seed the tournament based on Alpha order of the first player of the team. Click the Randomize list button when you go to create your bracket to randomize the seeding of the bracket:

# Switcholio

Switcholio is a unique twist on blind draw tournaments, where players are paired with a new partner for every game and ranked individually. With Scoreholio’s software, everything is automatically managed, from creating matchups to tracking performance. The organizer can use the leaderboard to recognize top players or seed them into a single elimination playoff.

Top players love Switcholio because they’re not stuck with the same partner all night. Over the course of the event, their individual skills help them rise higher on the leaderboard.&#x20;

For new players, Switcholio is less intimidating than a standard blind draw. They don’t have to worry about holding back an experienced partner, making it a more welcoming and enjoyable experience.

Organizers love Switcholio because they don’t have to worry about even numbers of players or finding a “walker” if there’s an odd number. Players can also join late, take a break, or leave early without causing issues. Scoreholio seamlessly adjusts, keeping the tournament running smoothly, no matter what!

## How to setup a Switcholio Tournamnet

1. **Download the Scoreholio app or log in at** [**https://app.scoreholio.com**](https://app.scoreholio.com)**.**
2. **Click “Create New”** to start your tournament setup.

**Rank by:**\
This option determines how your leaderboard is sorted during Round Robin play. Choose from the following options:

* *Total Points*
* *Record then Points*
* *Record then Differential*
* *PPR (Points per Round)*
* *DPR (Differential per Round)*

Note: PPR and DPR are specific to Cornhole/Horseshoes and Axe Throwing. Points Differential is calculated as points scored minus points against.

**# of Courts:**\
Choose the number of courts based on the expected number of players, but be prepared to adjust. Since Switcholio focuses on random pairings, you will want some player NOT playing and in the coming up section. Ideally, keep at least 3 or more players in the queue. If the queue has fewer players, consider reducing the number of courts.

**# of Rounds:**\
We recommend running a multiple of 4 rounds.. This ensures that every player gets the same number of games, even if someone joins late. The system automatically "catches up" late players, so everyone gets the same amount of games.&#x20;

## Switcholio Player/Rounds Graph

This graph will help you know how many players and rounds you can run in a switcholio. If your combination is in the green everyone will finish with the same amount of rounds. If your combination of players and rounds are in the red that means some players will end up short a rounds. If the number is .25 then 1 player will be short a round, if .50 then 2 players, and if .75 3 players will be short a round.

As you can see, multiples of 4 are always a good combination in switcholio.

**Adding Late Players**

One of the nice things about Switcholio is that you can add players late, and the system will automatically “catch them up.” If you’re playing four games like I suggest they will get their four games in just like everybody else. If they’re too far behind, however, they will tend to hold things up toward the end, and they’ll be queued up back to back to back with no breaks. I like to let late-comers join the tournament as long as at least ONE player who started on time has only played a single game. As soon as everybody who was in the event from the start is at least playing their second game, I don’t allow new players.

#### **Letting Players Leave**

Another advantage of Switcholio is that if somebody has to bail, they’re not leaving a partner (and you) in a lurch. Note that somebody leaving mid-tournament CAN cause an uneven number of games at the end, but there are easy ways to resolve that. More on that in a bit.

#### **Swapping Scores**

Sometimes players will not pay attention and submit the score of a game backwards. To fix this, go into the “Stats & Logs” tab, click the game with the incorrect score. There you can swap the score, update, or edit ScoreMagic rounds.

#### **Evening Out Games**

If one player, or a few players, end up short a game because somebody bailed or you ran anything other than four games, it’s fairly easy to fix. What you will have to do is go back to the Player tab in admin where you started the tournament from. Add fake players called “ghosts”. Add as many as you need. Example: if 2 players are left short a round add 2 ghosts. Then go back to the round robin tab, click on a players name and manually pair them with a ghost onto a court. Repeat with the other player short a round until the court is full. Have those players play singles and submit the match. Go back to the players tab and click on the ghosts you added and delete them. Now everyone will have even matches.

## Creating a Playoff Bracket after the Round Robin

Some organizers use the leaderboard as the final ranking for their tournament, awarding prizes to the top players based on their total points. However, you can also add a playoff to your Switcholio round robin. To set up a bracket after the round robin, simply go to the "Bracket" tab in the admin section and click "Create Bracket" to get started.

**Single or Double Elimination:**\
After your round robin, you can decide to run either a single or double elimination playoff, depending on what works best for your group.

**Pairing Method:**\
This determines how teams will be paired for the playoffs. You have several options:

(Lets assume 10 players ranked 1-10)

* *Top with first of lower half:* 1/6, 2/7, 3/8, 4/9, 5/10
* *Top with bottom:* 1/10, 2/9, 3/8, 4/7, 5/6
* *The Cornelius:* 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10
* *50/50:* Randomly pairs someone from the top half with someone from the bottom half.
* *Singles:* Opt to have players compete individually instead of in teams.

**Bracket Size:**\
You can set the playoff bracket size anywhere from 4 to 32 teams, or even up to 128 teams  (256 players) with the[ Pro plan](/getting-started/subscriptions).

**Note:**\
If you have an odd number of players and want everyone to advance, you can add a ghost player to fill in the bracket. The ghost will automatically take the last place spot, but you can move them by clicking “Change Seeding” and dragging them to the desired position.

**Additional Brackets:**\
If you'd like to divide your players into multiple playoff brackets after Switcholio, you can use additional brackets to create separate competitions.

# Split Switch

Our popular Switcholio format Split into two groups. What could be more fun

Split Switch is a twist on our most popular format [Switcholio](/tournament/team-generation/switcholio). A quick description of switcholio is that everyone plays against a different partner every round and will only play against someone twice.&#x20;

With Split Switch you can now split your field into two groups. Group 1 players will NEVER play with each other and will only be paired with players from Group 2.&#x20;

## Fun ways to use Split Switch

* **Mixed Doubles -** Put all the women in Group 1 and all the men in Group 2. Now each team will always have a man and a woman on it.&#x20;
* **Pro-Am -** Put all your top players in Group 1 and all your amateur players in Group 2. Each team will be a Pro-Am and play against a similar pairing.&#x20;

## Adding Players to a Split Switch

#### Admin Rules for Split Switch

* You MUST have the same amount of players in each group. If not, add a ghost to fill a spot.&#x20;
* If you have an ODD amount of players in the groups (i.e. 7 players in each group) then you MUST run an even amount of rounds. If you have even players in each group an odd amount of rounds is fine.&#x20;
* You can only do as many rounds as there are players in the groups. I.e. you have 4 players in each group you can only do 4 rounds. After that, you would have to clear the game log to allow more matchups/pairings to occur. Note: Clearing the game log does not delete the record, just allows the matchups/pairings to happen again.&#x20;
* You can use as many courts as you would like. HOWEVER, know that if there is no one in the coming up section that the 2nd matchup people will have will be a re-shuffling of the players currently on the court. In Match 3 the players will wait in the coming up section for another set of players to become available and shuffle with them.&#x20;

Click the bracket tab in admin. You will see that each group will be seperated with group 1 on top and group 2 on the bottom. Use the pairing method drop down to pair the groups for the playoff bracket.&#x20;

## Pairing Methods

* **Top with first of lower half:** This method would pair the Best of Group 1 with the best of Group 2. Then 2nd seed of both groups, 3rd seed of both groups and so on.&#x20;
* **Top with bottom:** This will pair the best player of Group 1 with the lowest player in Group 2. Then the 2nd best player in Group 1 with the 2nd worst player in Group 2, and so on.&#x20;
* **Singles -** Sinlges will be in seed order starting with Group 1 and then going through to Group 2 based on record.&#x20;

## **Tips for Team Management**

Managing teams in Scoreholio becomes much easier once you get comfortable clicking around to see what options appear. Most actions will trigger a pop-up with choices, so don’t be afraid to explore!

Here are a few helpful tips to make team adjustments smooth and stress-free:

* **Rearranging players on teams:** After you’ve added fake teams or players, scroll down to your list of teams. (This works even if your tournament is set to Singles.) Click on a player on a team— if it’s a Singles tournament, click the single player. on their own team. Select **“Remove player from team”** to bump that player up to the **Sub/Unassigned Players** list.
* **Adding a new player manually:** In the **Add a Player** section, enter the player’s first and last name (email is optional). Make sure their placement is set to **Unassigned Player/Sub**. Then scroll to the **Unassigned/Sub** list, find the player you added, click their name, and move them to the team you want.

This workflow helps with handling subs, making manual adjustments, or fixing teams on the fly.\ <br>

# Squadholio

## What is Squadholio?

Cornhole and other bar sports are almost always played between two individuals or 2-person teams, but Scoreholio now gives tournament directors and league administrators the ability to combine people and teams into “squads” that take each other on in a battle for supremacy. It’s a fun format that can turn individually-oriented games into collective competitions that generate great camaraderie and community, and we’re calling it “Squadholio.”

## Playing in a Squadholio Tournament&#x20;

Squadholio is a round robin tournament in which the players or teams of one “squad” play those of another squad. There’s no need for a playoff — whichever squad wins more games takes the title, and the bragging rights! The only difference is that the dashboard displays the leaderboard as two squads, shows how many games each has won, and how many points they’ve scored.

## Fun Ways to Use Squadholio

* **Club vs. Club Battles:** One cornhole club throws down a gauntlet, another accepts, and it’s GAME ON!!! Each club selects a number of players they’ve agreed upon, up to say 20 people or 10 teams. They meet up at an  appointed time and see who can win more games!
* **Intramural “Captains” Competition:** In January DPL Bobby named two of his best players, pros Kevin Rojas and Louie Vallejo, captains that got to pick their teams. You can either have them draft their teams like we used to do on the playground, or behind closed doors to save guys like me the pain of being picked last. : (
* **Charity or Corporate:** Unlike most cornhole tournaments, Squadholio generates amazing camaraderie and team spirit as people cheer for their squadmates, and cranks out some of the best bragging rights you can imagine. Sales vs. engineering, students vs teachers, police officers vs. firefighters.
* **League Play Among Squads:** Speaking of bragging rights, what if you had every department in your company, or every grade level of a high school, or every high school of a school district, form a squad? You could have them each play all of the other squads! Freshmen play the Sophomores one week, then the Juniors the week after that, then the Seniors. You’d end up with records and win/point totals that would let you seed a playoff among the squads, or maybe run an tournament all star tournament featuring the best players or teams from each school.

* **SPR:** Yes, each player’s Soreholio Player Rating is affected by games played as part of a Squadholio tournament.
* **Setting Squad Colors:** See the little colored pencils next to the sample squad names? Click those to edit each squad’s name or designated color.

## How to Run a Squadholio Tournament

To set up a Squadholio tournament, you’ll select game format Round Robin and team generation Squadholio.

### Managing Players, Teams and Squads

Go to the admin of your tournament then the ,

Your first step is to move all the “Checked in Players” To their appropriate squads. You can do this by clicking on their names then use the “Move Player to?” section

Next you will want to move those players onto their teams within the squads. Click on one of the players in the squad then choose “Place on a Team” and “Pick a Teammate”. Next click the “Add to Squad” button.

# MLP - Multi Level Play

Essentially a mini tournament between two teams with options to play doubles or a mix of doubles/singles.

MLP is a tournament where one team plays against another team. Teams can consist of 2 to 4 players. Each team will play a series of games against another team. A tiebreaker is available if necessary. The best team moves on in the bracket.&#x20;

### Setting Up an MLP Tournament

To create an MLP tournament:

1. Create a new tournament.
2. Select one of the supported tournament formats:
   * **Single Elimination**
   * **Double Elimination**
   * **Set Schedule**
3. Under **Team Generation**, choose **MLP**.
4. Choose your **MLP Format (A–I)**.
5. Assign the point values for **Singles** and **Doubles** matches.

## Court Setup for MLP

One of the advantages of the MLP format is that a single match can be played across multiple courts simultaneously. To help players find the correct court, we recommend using **Court Titles** to clearly label each court (for example, **Court A**, **Court B**, etc.).

> **Note: Court Titles require Warm Up Timers to be disabled.**

If you're using two courts for each team match, both physical courts should share the same Court Title. For example:

* Physical Court 1 → **Court A**
* Physical Court 2 → **Court A**

If you're using court tablets for scoring, both tablets should also be assigned to **Court A**.

> **Important:** The scoring method must be set to **Player's Choice**. This can be configured from **Remote Mode**, **Admin → Manage Courts**, or **Edit Tournament → Advanced**.

## Captains Lineups

#### What Are Captain Lineups?

Captain Lineups bring MLP-style strategy to Scoreholio by allowing teams to submit their lineups privately before each team match.

Once both teams have submitted their lineups, the player matchups are revealed and the individual games are automatically created. Organizers can choose whether only the designated team captain can submit the lineup or whether any player on the team can submit it.

### Setting Up Captain Lineups

1. Create a new tournament.
2. Under **Team Generation**, select **MLP**.
3. Toggle on **Captain Lineups**.
4. Choose who can submit the lineup:
   * **Captain Only:** Only the designated team captain can submit the lineup.
   * **Anyone on Team:** Any player on the team can submit the lineup.
5. Enable **Player Scoring**.

Player Scoring must be enabled for players to submit Captain Lineups. Once the lineups are submitted and the games are created, the games can be scored using either Player Scoring or court tablets.

### Assigning a Team Captain

1. From the Admin, open the **Players/Teams** tab.
2. Scroll down to **Checked-In Teams**.
3. Find the player with the crown next to their name. This player is the current team captain.
4. To change the captain, click the player you want to assign.
5. Select **Make Captain**.

The crown will move to the newly assigned captain.

### How the Captain Sets a Lineup

1. Open the **Dashboard** and select the court you're assigned to.
2. Tap **Start Game**.
3. Tap **Captain Lineup**.
4. Arrange your team's lineup.
5. Tap **Lock Lineup** to submit it.

Once both teams have locked their lineups, the player matchups are revealed automatically and you're ready to begin play.

## Scoring your MLP game

We **strongly recommend** using either **Score Tablets** or **Player Scoring** as your tournament scoring method. For MLP events with multiple matches happening simultaneously, **Player Scoring** is our preferred option because it provides the smoothest experience for players.

When players arrive at their assigned courts:

* **If you're using Captain Lineups**, submit and lock in the team lineups first. Once both teams have submitted their lineups, the player matchups will be revealed automatically.
* **If you're not using Captain Lineups**, players have two ways to begin:
  * **Assign all players first.** Players can assign everyone to their respective games before the team match begins, allowing the entire matchup to be set up in advance.
  * **Assign players one game at a time.** Players can simply start the first game, then assign participants for each subsequent game as they progress through the match.

Both approaches are fully supported, so organizers can choose whichever workflow works best for their event.

#### Submitting a Team Match

Once a team has clinched the match, the **Submit All Matches** button will become available.

The system automatically enables this button as soon as it is mathematically impossible for the opposing team to catch up.

If players would like to finish the remaining games, they are welcome to do so. The final games can still be completed and scored even after the overall team match has been decided.

### ⚙️ Handicap Max

**What it does:**\
Sets the maximum number of handicap points that can be applied to a player in any given game.

> Example: If a player's calculated handicap is 12 and you set the max at 10, only 10 points will be applied.

This ensures no player gets an outsized advantage, even if there’s a large skill gap.

In cornhole, a player’s score for a round can never exceed 12—even when a handicap is applied. For example, if a player throws a 10 and has a 4-point handicap, their adjusted score will still cap at 12.

### 📊 Handicap Format

**What it does:**\
Determines which player stat is used to calculate head-to-head handicaps. Choose from four formats depending on how recent or dynamic you want the data to be:

#### **30-Day PPR**

**30 Day PPR** is a great option for tournaments or leagues with lots of **new players** who don’t have an established PPR. All players will start with a 0 handicap for their first round. However, since the 30 Day PPR updates after every submitted round, new players will begin receiving calculated handicaps in all subsequent rounds after the initial one.

* Uses each player’s average Points Per Round (PPR) from the last 30 days.
* 30 day ppr updates after every round is submitted.

#### **120-Day PPR**

* Uses each player’s average PPR over the last 120 days.
* 120 day ppr updates once daily at 2:00 AM PST.

#### **Dynamic Round PPR**

* Adjusts handicaps after each **round**, based on a player's PPR **within the current tournament**.
* Great for fast feedback and rewarding in-tournament improvement.

#### **Dynamic Match PPR**

* Adjusts handicaps after each **match**, using only a player's performance in the current tournament.
* A good option when you want adjustments to feel gradual but responsive.

### 🧮 Starting PPR (For Dynamic Modes)

**What it does:**\
When using **Dynamic Round** or **Dynamic Match** modes, players start the tournament with a baseline PPR of **0**. This option lets you set a starting estimate based on historical data.

Choose to initialize a player’s starting handicap with:

* Their **30-Day PPR**
* Their **120-Day PPR**

This helps prevent early matches from being too skewed while allowing the handicap to adjust over time.

### ⚖️ Weighting

**What it does:**\
Determines how much of the calculated handicap is actually applied.

> Example: A calculated handicap of 4 with **80% weighting** means the player starts with a **3-point** advantage.

This is a great way to ease into handicapping without giving full credit for the skill difference.

# Types of Weekly Leagues

## Running a Weekly League on Scoreholio: Your Options Explained

Scoreholio offers multiple ways to structure and manage a weekly league depending on your needs. Whether you're organizing a fixed-team league or a flexible weekly blind draw, here’s a breakdown of the **three main methods** you can use — along with their benefits and limitations.

### 1. **Set Schedule League** (Most Commonly Used)

#### ✅ Best For:

Organizers who want to schedule every match in advance and run a consistent, streamlined league across a fixed number of weeks.

#### 🔧 How It Works:

Using the **Set Schedule** feature, you build your full league schedule upfront. Scoreholio will automatically generate matchups based on your format and schedule, and you run each week directly from this setup.

#### ✔️ Pros:

* Entire schedule is created upfront — no weekly setup required.
* Great for competitive, team-based leagues where consistency is key.
* Weekly flow is simple: just show up, run matches, and submit results.
* Sub management&#x20;

#### ❌ Cons:

* Teams **cannot be added or removed** once the schedule is created.
* No flexibility format changes.

### 2. **Import Method League** (Best for Dynamic or Tiered Leagues)

#### ✅ Best For:

Organizers who want **maximum flexibility** and may need to adjust teams, formats, or divisions from week to week.

#### 🔧 How It Works:

Each week, you import the previous week's player or team data into a new tournament. This allows you to retain stats and adjust your structure as needed.

#### ✔️ Pros:

* Add or remove teams/players each week.
* Great for promotion/relegation or multi-division leagues.
* Fully customizable week-to-week.
* Keeps historical stats across weeks.

#### ❌ Cons:

* You must carefully manage the **Game Log**. Re-importing the game log across multiple weeks will cause the system to stop assigning matches once one team has played every other team once.&#x20;
* Slightly more setup time each week than a Set Schedule.

### 3. **Scoreholio Season Submission** (Best for Switcholio/Blind Draw Leagues)

#### ✅ Best For:

Organizers running **blind draw, Switcholio, or mixed format** leagues who want an aggregated points leaderboard across multiple weeks.

#### 🔧 How It Works:

You run your weekly tournaments using the Import Method, then **submit each week’s results to a Scoreholio Season**. The season acts as a centralized leaderboard for player stats and points.

#### ✔️ Pros:

* Combines multiple tournaments into a single leaderboard.
* Players see cumulative stats, rankings, and match history.
* You can limit how many tournaments count toward a player's overall score (e.g., “best 6 out of 10”).
* Easy to manage long-running leagues or club nights with rotating players.

#### ❌ Cons:

* Requires using the **Import Method** for tournament setup.
* No pre-built schedule.&#x20;

**Must Play** - Must play the teams will play the full 3, 5 or 7 matches. Teams will play every game in the match, then after that match will play their next match against a new team.

# Set Schedule Switcholio

Create a full schedule allowing partners to change every round. Play WITH a player only once and AGAINST a player only twice in a full round robin.

## Why we made it?

Our original switcholio swept across the world changing how organizers could run their tournaments. The ease and efficiency of running a tournament where partners are changed every round and courts are never empty works fantastic. [Round Robin Switcholio](/tournament/team-generation/switcholio) allows an organizer to remove and add players late allowing maximum flexibility throughout a tournament.&#x20;

We have now built a more rigid version of switcholio. Set Schedule Switcholio allows an organizer to have any multiple of 4 players up to 32 and create an entire schedule to be played. The system will make it so each player only plays WITH another player 1 time and AGAINST another player 2 times during a full round-robin.&#x20;

What's even better? You can go through a full round-robin multiple times. Creating multiple weeks if the organizer wants. The system will run through the full round-robin schedule, shuffle the players and make another schedule. It is Easy Peasy.&#x20;

You will need a multiple of 4 players up to 32 players are allowed. To start a set schedule switcholio the following number of players are allowed: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20,  24, 28, and 32.

## # of courts to use in a set schedule switcholio

* Use as many courts as you need to get everyone on in round one. When you use the full amount of courts needed (i.e. 16 players 4 courts) The system will go round by round putting all games onto the court for round 1. Wait for all the courts to be empty then put all the games for round 2 on the courts. \

  Just use simple math: # of players / 4 = # of courts to go round by round

## How to Run a Switcholio League Using Scoreholio Seasons

Running a Switcholio league using **Scoreholio Seasons** allows you to track cumulative stats, manage weekly blind draws, and crown an overall league champion — all while keeping things flexible and fun.

In a Switcholio League using Scoreholio Seasons:

* You run **weekly blind draw or Switcholio tournaments**.
* You use the **Import Method** to carry players forward each week.
* **DO NOT** import the leaderboard or stats for each week.&#x20;
* You **submit each tournament to a Scoreholio Season**, which tracks standings and points over time.

### 🛠️ Step-by-Step Setup

1. Go to **Seasons** in the Scoreholio admin.
2. Click **Create Season** and give it a name (e.g., “Tuesday Night Switcholio”).
3. Set a **Start and End Date** that covers your league duration.

> 📝 Tip: If you want to limit the number of tourneys that count (to allow for missed weeks), set that in the “Pool” field.

#### Step 2: Run Your Weekly Tournament (Using Import Method)

1. Create your weekly tournament.
2. Run your weekly tournament
3. Submit your tournament to seasons
4. Create the next weeks tournament&#x20;
5. [Import teams/players ](/tournament-admin/import)from the prior weeks tournament **make sure NOT to import the record/points.**&#x20;
6. Run the tournament as normal (Switcholio or Blind Draw).

> 🧠 **Watch the Game Log:**\
> In an import-style league, Scoreholio uses the **game log** to track past matchups and prevent teams from playing each other more than once. As your league progresses and teams get close to having played everyone, the system may “stick” and stop generating new matchups. To avoid this, you can **uncheck the toggle for importing the game log** when setting up the weekly tournament

#### Step 3: Submit to the Scoreholio Season

Once the tournament is over:

1. From the admin menu, click **the top left 3 lines > Seasons**.
2. Choose the correct season.
3. Submit!

That tournament’s results will now be reflected in the season’s leaderboard, and players can track their overall progress.

Players can go to the **Scoreholio app**:

* Tap the **Scoreholio Seasons** tab (Brown tab)
* Select your season
* See their **rankings, points, wins/losses**, and how many tourneys have been submitted so far

# Tournament Templates

Save Time, Stay Consistent

Tournament Templates allow organizers to quickly create new tournaments based on a pre-set structure. Instead of setting up your tournament details from scratch every time, you can create a template from a tournament you've already set up—complete with settings like format, rounds, divisions, courts, and scoring rules.

Once a template is saved, you can easily select it when creating a new tournament, ensuring consistency and saving valuable time. Templates are perfect for organizers who run weekly events, leagues, or any tournaments with a repeating format.

**Key Benefits:**

* Speed up tournament creation
* Maintain consistency across events
* Customize templates for different types of tournaments
* Make adjustments after cloning if needed

## **How to Create a Template:**

### From an existing tournament

1. Go to "Run a Tournament" on the app or computer
2. Click on an existing tournament in your Dashboard.
3. Click the **"Make Template"** button.
4. Select **Create a Template**.
5. Name your template and save it for future use.

**All-Tournament Alerts:** Scoreholio will send a promo alert to players with a link to all your upcoming public tournaments. Tournaments marked as private will not be on the list of all tournaments. Select the drop-down alert you would like and the location to send the alert from and Scoreholio will auto-fill the rest.&#x20;

## How do they work?

Players can customize their alert preferences, including the distance and which sports they want to receive alerts for, by updating their settings in the [Player Notification Center](/player-profile/notification-center).

When a promotional alert is sent, Scoreholio checks for players within their chosen distance radius from your tournament and only sends alerts to those who are within that range.

There is no better way to promote your tournament. In order to send out an alert you will need to purchase a Promotional Credit. All purchases are final and are handled in the app store on your phone.&#x20;

# Cloning a Tournament

Cloning a tournament allows you to keep the same settings as the tournament you are cloning. We will add the words "Copy of" to the beginning of your cloned tournament. Make sure you check the date and time and you can edit the name if you would like.&#x20;

### **What is Organizer Assist?**

Organizer Assist is a new feature in Scoreholio that allows the primary tournament organizer to assign additional organizers to help manage and run a tournament. This feature makes it easier for teams to collaborate, ensuring a smooth and efficient event.

### **How does Organizer Assist work?**

The primary organizer can invite other organizers to assist with the tournament. These assistants will have the ability to manage tournaments, check in teams,  update scores, and handle other administrative tasks, providing valuable support to the main organizer.

### **Who can be an organizer assistant?**

Anyone with a Scoreholio organizer account can be invited to be an organizer assistant. The primary organizer sends an invitation through theadmin, and once accepted, the assistant gains access to the tournament's management tools.

### **What permissions do organizer assistants have?**

Organizer assistants can:

* Update scores and standings
* Manage player check-ins
* Use their devices to help submit scores
* Edit brackets
* Send notifications to players
* View tournament analytics

However, the primary organizer retains overall control and can revoke assistant access at any time.&#x20;

### **How do I add an organizer assistant?**

1. Open your tournament admin in the Scoreholio app or on web.
2. Go to the "Options" tab. (Or click the top left 3 lines)
3. Click the "Organizer Assist" section
4. Click "Add Organizer" and select the person you want to invite.
5. The invited organizer will receive a notification to accept the role.

### **Can organizer assistants Edit the tournament?**

No, only the primary organizer has the ability to edit the tournamnet.

### **Is there a limit to how many organizer assistants I can have?**

Currently, there is no limit to the amount of organizers that can assist a tournamnet.&#x20;

### **Can organizer assistants invite other assistants?**

No, only the primary organizer has the authority to invite or remove organizer assistants. This keeps the management of the tournament streamlined and under the control of the main organizer.

### **What happens if the primary organizer can’t attend the event?**

If the primary organizer cannot attend, the organizer assistants can manage most of the event's tasks. However, it is recommended to plan in advance and coordinate with your assistants to ensure everything runs smoothly.

### **How do I remove an organizer assistant?**

1. Go to the "Organizer assist" section of your tournament.
2. Find the assistant you want to remove.
3. Click "Remove"

The assistant will no longer have access to the tournament's management tools.

### **Does Organizer Assist cost extra?**

No, Organizer Assist is included in the standard Social (free) Scoreholio package at no additional cost. It’s designed to enhance the organizing experience and help you run more efficient tournaments. After a 30 day grace period Scoreholio will move the organizer assist option to a paid subscription level.&#x20;

#### Customizing Fee Responsibility

Organizers have two main options when it comes to managing fees:

1. **Player Pays Fees**: The additional processing and handling fees are added to the registration cost, and the player pays the total amount.
2. **Organizer Pays Fees**: The organizer absorbs the fees, but they can adjust the ticket price to include these costs.

For example, if the tournament costs $50:

* **When the player pays the fees**, their total payment will include the base price, Servicer processing fees, and the Scoreholio handling fee, resulting in a higher final payment.
* **When the organizer pays the fees**, the ticket price can be adjusted to $55, so the fees are effectively included in the price while players see a single upfront cost.

As shown in the table above, a **$55 ticket price where the organizer pays the fees** provides a cleaner, upfront cost for players. This approach makes the registration process feel more transparent and avoids any surprise charges during checkout.

Want to save time instead of entering every team or player manually? Use Scoreholio’s **Import Spreadsheet** feature to quickly load in all your participants.

1. **Go to Admin > Players/Teams Tab**\
   Open your tournament’s **Admin page** and click on the **Players/Teams** tab.
2. **Click "More Options" > "Import CSV"**\
   In the upper-right corner, click the green **More Options** button, then select **Import**.

#### 💡 Pro Tips

* **Pool Play Assignments:**\
  If you're assigning teams to pools in the spreadsheet, use the **Pool** column.\
  **Pools are case-sensitive** — for example, “Pool A” is not the same as “pool a.”
* **Pre-Registration Support:**\
  You can import teams straight to pre-registration, allowing for check-in process at the tournament.

* Make sure your file is saved as a `.CSV`
* **Do not modify the column headers** in any way
* Double-check for typos or inconsistencies in Pool names (case sensitivity matters!)

## Add players in admin (Have played before)

If a player has played in your club before you can add them in the admin of the tournament quickly. Go to the add a player section and start typing in their - First name, Last name, or Display name. The system will check any player that has every played in one of your tournaments and you can quickly add them.&#x20;

# Waitlist

Only have limited space for your tournament? Want players to join just in case someone falls out? We got you covered over here at Scoreholio with a pre-registration waitlist.

## Waitlist Rules

* Waitlist only opens when the total number of spots has been reached
* Players will be added to the waitlist in admin based on when they join the waitlist
* Anyone that tries to pre-register for a tournament while there are players on the waitlist will go to the end of the waitlist
* When a spot opens up the organizer can choose to invite as many players as they want to give an opportunity to join
* The first player to take the spot wins. As soon as there are no spots left again, all players will go back to the waitlisted status in admin
* Players will receive an email and a push notificaiton when they have been invited to pre-register
* PRE-PAY tournaments: Players will be asked to pay when they are invited to the tournament NOT to get onto the waitlist
* Players will have the option to pre-register OR remove themselves from the waitlist when invited

## IF THENS

When someone goes to sign up for a tournament, and waitlist is on:&#x20;

* IF a spot is open, and no one on waitlist THEN add to pre-reg&#x20;
* IF no spots open and no one on waitlist THEN add to waitlist
* &#x20;IF spot is open and someone on the waitlist THEN add to waitlist
* IF the organizer opens up more spots than amount of people on the waitlist THEN reserve the amount of spots for people on the waitlist. General public can sign up for spots open above the waitlist amount.
* IF player status set to invited and the player tries to pre-register, and a spot is open THEN allow to pre-reg
* IF status set to invited and NO spot is open and the player tries to register THEN tell the player they were too late and change status back to waitlist. Keep on waitlist priority spot

## Example of how the waitlist works

Here’s an example scenario based on the rules you provided:

#### Scenario:

* **Tournament Capacity**: 10 players.
* **Current Registrations**: 10 players (Tournament is full).
* **Waitlist**: 3 players in order: Player A, Player B, Player C.

**Step-by-Step Example:**

1. **Player #7 unregisters**:
   * A spot opens up because one player dropped out. The organizer sees this and decides to invite people from the waitlist.
2. **Organizer invites Player A** (first on the waitlist):
   * **Player A** gets an email and push notification inviting them to pre-register for the tournament.
   * At this moment, **Player A** has the opportunity to either:
     1. Pre-register and secure the spot.
     2. Remove themselves from the waitlist.
3. **Player A delays or doesn’t act**:
   * The organizer may choose to invite **Player B** and **Player C** simultaneously or wait for Player A. However, whoever pre-registers first secures the spot.
4. **Player B pre-registers first**:
   * **Player B** quickly responds, pays, and successfully pre-registers for the tournament, taking the available spot.
5. **Waitlist status**:
   * Now that the spot is filled, all remaining players on the waitlist (**Player A** and **Player C**) automatically return to their original waitlist status, and no one is currently invited.
   * If another spot opens, the process begins again, and Player A would be the next to be invited since they were first on the waitlist.
6. **New player attempts to register**:
   * If a new player tries to register for the tournament while **Player A** and **Player C** are still on the waitlist, the new player will be added to the end of the waitlist behind **Player C**.

This example follows the outlined waitlist rules and demonstrates what happens when someone unregisters and a player is invited from the waitlist.

* Go to run a tournament on app or web
* Login with your email and password
* Click the "Create New" button to make a new tournament
* Toggle on "Enable Pre-Registration"
* Set the "Max # of spots" you are allowing for your tournament
* Toggle on "Enable Waitlist" (PRO ONLY FEATURE)

Guest List is like a bouncer at a club standing behind a red velvet rope. Organizers can control exactly who is allowed to register, who is blocked from registering, and who receives VIP discount

Guest List includes 3 options:

* Invite Only
* Exclusion List
* VIP List

## Invite Only

Invite Only works exactly how it sounds. Only players on the list are allowed to register for the tournament.

This is perfect for:

* Private tournaments

* Early access registration

You can also assign discounts to players on the Invite Only list when using PRE-Pay registration.

> If Invite Only is enabled, you cannot also enable Exclusion List or VIP List for the same tournament.

## Exclusion List

The Exclusion List blocks specific players from registering for the tournament.

Everyone NOT on the list is still allowed to register normally.

This is useful for:

* Banning problematic players
* Restricting certain skill levels
* Private club restrictions

## VIP List

The VIP List allows organizers to assign discounts to specific players during PRE-Pay registration.

This is perfect for:

* Sponsors
* Club members
* Staff
* Returning champions
* Special promotions

VIP discounts only work when PRE-Pay is enabled for the tournament.

#### Restrictions on Pre-Registration

An organizer can implement restrictions to regulate and manage the pre-registration process for tournaments. These restrictions are primarily based on performance metrics and membership status to ensure fair and equitable participation. The following guidelines outline how these restrictions are applied:

1. **Performance Metrics:**
   * **Rating Thresholds:** Players may be required to meet a minimum or maximum rating threshold to qualify for pre-registration. This ensures that participants have demonstrated a certain level of skill or experience relevant to the tournament's competitive standards.
   * **SPR Restriction (All sports except Pickleball):** Restrict by a players [Scoreholio Player Rating](/player-profile/spr+-1)
   * **PPR and DPR (Cornhole and Horseshoes):** Restrict by 120 day points per round or differential per round
   * **DUPR Singles or DUPR Doubles (Pickleball Only):** Restrict by a players DUPR rating
   * **Seasons Tier:** Restrict by a players Scoreholio Season Tier Value (Season must be assigned to the tournament)
2. **Membership Status:**

**Scoreholio Seasons Membership Tiers**

* **Restricted Pre-registration**: Some tournaments may restrict pre-registration to members of specific tiers or levels within an organizations Season.
* **Community Engagement**: This approach fosters community involvement and encourages active membership participation.
* **Configuration**: Set your Season Membership Tier value in your Season Admin settings.

**Linked DUPR Account (Pickleball Only)**

* **Pre-registration Requirement**: Pre-registration may be limited to players whose Scoreholio player accounts are linked to DUPR.
* **Account Status**: Players must have current and valid DUPR accounts in good standing at the time of registration.

#### Implementation and Communication

Scoreholio  organizers are responsible for configuring and communicating these restrictions effectively. This includes:

* **Configuration:** Setting up restrictions through the Scoreholio App or website during tournament creation. Turn on Pre-registration and then use the Restrictions drop down

**Overview**

The Set Teams Pre-registration process allows for the organization of teams based on average stats when setting up your tournament. This ensures balanced teams by averaging the stats of all team members and checking them against the tournament's specified restrictions.

**Configuration**

1. **Team Composition**:
   * Set your tournament to accept teams of 2, 3, or 4 players.
   * The system will use the average stats of all players on the team to determine eligibility.
2. **Setting Restrictions**:
   * Define the minimum and maximum restriction ranges based on the average stats of the team.
   * For example, if your tournament has a minimum restriction of 50 SPR (Scoreholio Player Rating) and a maximum restriction of 60 SPR, the team's average SPR must fall within this range.
3. **Calculation**:
   * The average stats are calculated by summing the stats of all team members and dividing by the number of players on the team.
   * Example: In a tournament with a minimum SPR of 50 and a maximum SPR of 60, a player with an SPR of 40 can team up with a player with an SPR of 70 because the average SPR ( (40 + 70) / 2 ) equals 55, which falls within the allowed range.

**Example Scenario**

* **Step 1**: Configure your tournament team generation to Set Teams.
* **Step 2**: Set the restriction range, for example, a minimum SPR of 50 and a maximum SPR of 60.

### First Player Rule

**Overview**

The First Player Rule governs the initial registration process for the Set Team tournament. This rule ensures that individual players can register independently of team restrictions, with team validation occurring only when team formation begins.

**Details**

1. **Initial Registration**:
   * When a player signs up for the Set Team tournament, they are permitted to register regardless of whether they fall within the minimum and maximum restriction requirements.
   * This allows players to enter the tournament without the immediate need to meet team composition criteria.
2. **Team Formation**:
   * The system will enforce team restrictions during the team formation phase.
   * When the first player attempts to add a partner or when a partner tries to join an existing team, the system will check the combined team's compliance with the specified restriction range.
3. **Restriction Range Compliance**:
   * The restriction range includes both minimum and maximum criteria that teams must meet.
   * The system ensures that the team adheres to these criteria before finalizing the team formation.

**Example Scenario**

* **Step 1**: Player A signs up for the tournament. The system allows this registration without checking the restriction range.
* **Step 2**: Player A invites Player B to join their team. At this point, the system checks if the combined team of Player A and Player B falls within the restriction range.
* **Step 3**: If the combined team meets the restrictions, Player B successfully joins the team. If not, Player B cannot join until the team complies with the restriction requirements.

### 🛑 Court Blocking Options in Scoreholio

Scoreholio gives organizers the flexibility to block teams from playing on the **same court consecutively** or from playing on the **same court more than once during the entire tournament**.

#### ⚙️ How to Enable Court Blocking

You can configure these settings in two places:

* **When creating a new tournament:**
  * On the **Create New,** scroll down to the **Advanced** section
  * Toggle one or both options:

    * ✅ *Back-to-back same court*
    * ✅ *Block all same courts*

* **For an existing tournament:**
  * Go to **Admin > Options > Manage Courts**

#### 🚫 Exceptions & Limitations

* **Switcholio Round Robin:**\
  Court blocking is **not available** during the round robin portion of a Switcholio tournament.
* **Time-Based Set Schedules:**\
  If you’re using a **time-based schedule**, court blocking will **not be respected** during auto-generation.
* **Small Court Warning:**\
  Court blocking is **not recommended** if your tournament uses a **small number of courts**.\
  Example:\
  You have 3 courts and block back-to-back use. If court 2 is busy, teams that just played on courts 1 and 3 will be stuck waiting — even if courts 1 or 3 are now free.

#### 🏐 Works Across All Sports

Court blocking functions on **all sports** within Scoreholio — cornhole, pickleball, darts, and more.

#### 🎉 Creative Uses

Some organizers run **theme-based tournaments** where each court has a unique theme (e.g., "Disco Court", "Silent Court", etc.). By enabling the *no repeat courts* option, they ensure each team plays on every court at least once.

#### ⚠️ Final Tip

If you notice your tournament **stops auto-assigning courts**, it may be due to overly restrictive blocking. In that case:

1. Go to **Admin > Options > Manage Courts**
2. Turn off court blocking
3. Use **Advance Game** button to keep things moving


# Import Button

Scoreholio makes it easy to import players from any event into any other event. You can use this functionality to pull players from many small pools into one playoff bracket, like the World Cup, or split one big round robin into multiple playoff brackets, like a championship bracket and a consolation bracket.

Important notes on import:

* Import button is only available on Advanced ($9.99/month subscription levels) and up.
* You can import as many or as few players from a past tournament as you would like.
* You can import from multiple past tournaments into your new tournament.
* Importing a player from one tournament to another will bring their notifications and SPR tracking with them, no need to re-scan.
* BLIND DRAW ONLY: (No Cry Baby Blind Draw) If importing from one blind draw to another you can import only the pairings. This will have the system do its best to NOT pair the same players up again as the past tournament.
* SWITCH to BLIND DRAW ONLY: If importing from a Switcholio to a blind draw you can select which category the players go into. Examples A-B-C categories.

# Starting a Tournament

After you have scanned or checked-in all of your players from Pre-Registration it is time to start your tournament. Here is a step by step guide for each type of tournament:

## Starting a Blind Draw Tournament

Once all of your players have categorized you hit the "Randomize Players" Button

## Starting a Round Robin Tournament

After you have created your teams in a blind draw or checked-in your players/teams for other [team generations](/tournament/team-generation) you will click the start tournament button:

## Starting Playoffs from a Round Robin

If you’re adding playoffs to a round robin tournament, click the “Playoffs” tab at the top of the admin interface.&#x20;

Find and click the “Create Bracket” button. You will then need to do two things:

1. Select single or double elimination
2. Set the Bracket Size that indicates how many players or teams you want to place in the bracket.

🧙 **Tips:** if you make a mistake when creating the bracket, you can delete it and “create” it again.

## Starting a Bracket Style Tournament

After you have created your teams in a blind draw or checked in your players/teams for other [team generations](/tournament/team-generation) you will click the start tournament button in a blind draw or the Create Bracket button for any other team generation

The Bracket creation screen is where you can change the seeding by clicking the "Change Seeding" button and dragging teams up and down.&#x20;

You can also randomize seeding by clicking the "Randomize List" button. Reset will bring it back to the original order.

## Match Log

Match log allows you to see every game played during your tournament. Need to[ update or swap a score in a round robin](broken://pages/-Ma-PtsBqGhsQRrwupmc)? You can do it in the match log. # Webhooks

## Webhooks

Before webhooks, the only way to get data out of Scoreholio Seasons was to log in and run a report or an export — a manual, after-the-fact snapshot.

Webhooks flip that around. Instead of you coming to get the data, Scoreholio pushes it to you the moment something changes. You give us a URL, tell us which events you care about, and we knock on that URL every time one of them happens.

<br>

This means you can:

* Sync members into your CRM the moment they sign up — no nightly export.
* Post to Slack/Discord/Teams when a new tournament is created.
* Trigger an email when a season transaction is recorded.
* Keep an external dashboard or spreadsheet up to date in real time.

Webhooks are currently the only way to programmatically get data out of Seasons. There is no public REST API.

### Don't have a developer? Use Zapier.

You don't need to write any code to use webhooks. Zapier (and similar tools like Make, n8n, or Pipedream) can catch a Scoreholio webhook and turn it into almost any action you can think of — add a row to a Google Sheet, send a Mailchimp campaign, post in Slack, create a HubSpot contact, send an SMS, and so on.

Here's how to wire it up in Zapier:

1. In Zapier, create a new Zap and choose Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger.
2. Pick the Catch Hook event.
3. Zapier will give you a URL that looks something like <https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/12345/abcde/>. Copy it.
4. In Scoreholio, go to Settings → Webhooks → Add Webhook, paste that URL in, and pick the events you want.
5. Save. Now do the thing in Scoreholio that should trigger the event (e.g. add a test member) so Zapier can see what the payload looks like.
6. Back in Zapier, click Test trigger — you should see the event come through.
7. Add whatever action you want next: Google Sheets, Slack, Mailchimp, Gmail, etc.

Zapier's free plan includes Webhooks by Zapier, but heavy event volumes may push you onto a paid plan. If you're expecting lots of events, check Zapier's task limits.

The same pattern works for Make, n8n, Pipedream, and other no-code tools — they all have a "webhook trigger" or "catch webhook" step.

### What can you listen for?

Whenever one of these things happens in your account, we'll send a message to your URL:

* Seasons — created, updated, deleted
* Tournaments — created, updated, deleted
* Members — created, updated, deleted
* Season transactions — created, updated, deleted
* Organizers — created, updated, deleted
* Teams — created, updated, deleted (only if team rankings are turned on for that season)

You pick exactly which ones you care about — no need to subscribe to all of them.

### How to set one up

1. Open <https://seasons.scoreholio.com> and login with your Pro Account
2. Go to Settings → Webhooks
3. Click Add Webhook
4. Paste the URL where you want us to send the events (e.g. <https://your-server.com/scoreholio-events>, or your Zapier Catch Hook URL)
5. Check the boxes for the events you care about
6. (Optional) Pick specific seasons to watch — leave it blank to get events for all seasons
7. Click Save

When you save it, we'll show you a signing secret — copy it somewhere safe. We will only show it once. You'll need it to verify that messages are really coming from us (see below).

### "Just for these seasons" vs "all seasons"

By default a webhook fires for every season in your account. If you only care about, say, your Spring 2026 league, click Edit Seasons in the form and pick the ones you want.

Heads-up: season.created, season.updated, and season.deleted always fire for every season regardless of this filter — because at the moment a season is created or deleted, the filter doesn't really apply yet.

### How do I know it's really Scoreholio?

Every request we send includes a header called X-Scoreholio-Signature. It's a fingerprint made from your signing secret plus the body of the message.

When you receive a webhook:

1. Take the raw request body
2. Compute the same fingerprint using your signing secret
3. Compare it to the value in the header
4. If they match → it's us. If they don't → throw it away.

This stops random people on the internet from POSTing fake events to your URL.

If you're using Zapier (or another no-code tool), you can skip the signature check — Zapier's webhook URLs are already a long random string that's nearly impossible to guess. Signature verification is mainly for when you're running your own server.

### Pausing a webhook

If your server is down for maintenance, you don't have to delete the webhook — just edit it and flip Active to Paused. We'll stop sending until you flip it back.

### How do I know it's working?

The webhook list shows you, for each one:

* Last — was the most recent delivery a ✓ or a ✗
* When — how long ago we last tried to send

If you keep seeing ✗, your URL probably isn't responding with a 2xx status code, or it's down.

### Deleting

Click Options → Delete on the row. It stops receiving events immediately. (The signing secret is gone forever too, so if you ever re-create it, you'll get a new secret.)

1. The first step to setting up your Scoreholio Season is to head over to <https://seasons.scoreholio.com/>  Note: It is easier to set up a Season on a laptop or computer.

3. Log in with your Scoreholio Organizer email and password.&#x20;

Payment Options, Membership Setup, and Tournament Organizer Credits

## Setting up Payments

The first step to being able to collect membership fees for your organization is to connect with either Paypal or Stripe. Note: If you already use Paypal for Pre-registration/Pre-Pay you will be ready to go with activating Paypal.

Click the "Connect" buttons to connect your Stripe or Paypal Accounts. Don't have one? Their system will walk you through setting up an account.&#x20;

## Membership Options

**Enable Free Memberships:** allows you to create zero dollar memberships levels and bypass payment options on the public page.

**Enable Paypal Payments:** Toggle on and off allowing members  to pay by PayPal

**Enable Stripe Payments:** Toggle on and off allowing members to pay by Stripe

**Player Ranking for Members Only:** only calculate rankings for active members, and non-members will not be shown on public ranking list.

**Enforcing Membership Start Date:** will ignore all tournaments before the membership start date and will not be included in rankings.

## Membership Fees

Each membership payment will include a PayPal processing fee or a Stripe processing fee. You can view the links below to see their fees.

Scoreholio handling fee is 5% with a minimum fee of $2.

# Season Options

Setup your points options for your Scoreholio Season.

## Glossary of Terms

* **Divisions:** Divisions are your most important aspect of setting up a points option. You will be able to sort player rankings based on divisions. We suggest your divisions are: Advanced, Competitive, Social. Others have used divisions to sort by: Womens, Seniors, Singles Doubles etc.&#x20;

Note: With Scoreholio Seasons Doubles will NOT be listed as a team. Players will get their individual doubles points. Meaning players can have multiple partners over the course of a season and they will get their individual Doubles points.&#x20;

* **Category:** A category is the first level below a division to help differentiate your divisions. We suggest using categories: Local, Regional, Conference. Others have used categories for levels such as Switcholios, Charity, League
* **Type:** Type is the 3rd level for the points options you will make. We suggest using things like Main Bracket, Tier 1 or Teir 2. Others have used it for the type of tournament: Bracket, Round Robin
* **Pool:** A pool is used to limit the number of tournaments a player can earn points for during the season. Only the top X tournaments for a given pool will count towards a player's overall ranking.&#x20;
* **Points Option:** This is where the magic happens. Using all the terms above you will create a points option and assign the number of points a player can earn for their standings in a tournament.&#x20;

Notice that Scoreholio does not limit how you set up your points options. You can be as creative as you would like when setting up your Season.&#x20;

The main thing you need to pay attention to is DIVISIONS as that is how players can be sorted for rankings. More on that on the [Memberships](/scoreholio-seasons/memberships) section

## Creating a Points Option

After you have created your Divisions, Category, Type and Pools you are ready to create your points option

1. Click on the blue "Add New Point Option"  button
2. Use the drop-downs to select the Division, Category, Type and Pool you would like for this points option
3. Fill in the points for each place in a tournament stanging.
4. After making all of your points options your Season is set-up and ready to go. Now its time to add [organizers ](/scoreholio-seasons/organizers)to your season that are allowed to submit tournaments to your Season

## Setting up Memberships

Step 1: Click on Add Membership Level and add your description below that membership level

**Membership Level:** Choose the membership level the player would receive\
**Optional Name:** Is this an early bird price? Mid-Season price? Put your notes here (Not shown to players)\
**Descriptor:** This is shown on the receipt for the players. Example: TCL Silver Level Membership\
**Price:** How much will this cost the player?\
**Bonus Points:** Does this level come with bonus points\
**Status:** Is it active or not active for player to purchase?\
**Access:** See Below<br>

## Allowing Membership Upgrades

**Access** is where you will choose who has access to this payment option. If you want players to be able to upgrade from a Free Membership to a paid membership then you would Alllow access from the Free level. You can make as many point options as you would like, NOTE your [payment processing fees](/scoreholio-seasons/season-setup#membership-fees) happen on every upgrade too.&#x20;

## Setting up Tiers

You can use Tiers to rank players how you feel they should be ranked in your own season. There are 9 priority levels that will be used for pre-registration restrictions. (You do not need to use all 9 spots)

#### Where can you see tiers?

You can see a player's tier level by going to the player roster in a tournament admin. You can also see it when doing "manually add existing players" in admin.

You can set the tier for a player in the management of your season on the memberships tab.

# Organizers

With Scorheolio Seasons you can add UNLIMITED organizers to submit tournament results to your Season.

Adding Organizers to your Scoreholio Season is Easy Peasy. Simply click on the Organizers tab in Seasons and click the blue "Add Organizer" button.&#x20;

### How many organizers can submit tournament results to my season?

* Unlimited!! You can invite as many organizers as you want to your season.

### Do I need to add myself as an organizer?

* You DO NOT need to add yourself as an organizer, we took care of that for you ;-)

### Will organizers need a PRO level account?

* No, only the person creating the Scoreholio Season needs to have a PRO level account. But we will not hold you back from asking them to upgrade, who doesn't want to support Scoreholio right?

### Can an organizer be a part of multiple Seasons?

* Yes organizers can be a part of unlimited Seasons and submit the same tournament results to multiple different seasons

### Why can't an organizer see my season in their drop-down?

* Make sure you put in their Scoreholio Organizer email. NOT their Scoreholio Player email. Organizer emails are different than player emails.&#x20;

Now that you have added all of your organizers to your Scoreholio Season and Set Up all of your points options you are ready to start submitting tournaments to your season.&#x20;

# Organizer Credits

### ❓ What are Organizer Credits in Scoreholio Seasons?

**Organizer Credits** are a tool within **Scoreholio Seasons** that allows the **Season Manager** to charge a fee for submitting a tournament to the season. Organizers must purchase credits in order to submit tournaments, giving Season Managers an easy way to manage and monetize season participation.

### ⚙️ How to Enable Organizer Credits

To activate this feature:

1. Go to **Season Manager** → **Season Setup**
2. Toggle on **"Tournament"**

* **Credit Packages**: Season Managers can create and sell packages of organizer credits. Bulk packages can offer **discounts**, encouraging larger purchases and reducing per-credit fees.
* **Organizer Levels Access**: You can assign specific **Organizer Levels** to different credit packages. This allows control over who can see or buy which packages.

* **Point Option Credit Value**: Different **points options** (e.g., Signature Series, Weekly, etc.) can be assigned different **credit values**, allowing Season Managers to **charge more credits for more premium tournaments**.

  Navigate to the **Organizers tab** within Seasons to:

  * View how many credits each organizer has
  * See how many they've used

* **Submission Restrictions**:
  * Organizers **must have enough credits** to submit a tournament (unless negative submissions are allowed).
  * Toggle **“Allow Organizers to have a negative balance”** in the **Season Setup** to let organizers submit even if they don’t currently have enough credits.

### 🛒 How Organizers Purchase Credits

Organizers purchase credits via the **Tournament Admin**, in the same area where they submit tournaments to the season.

If an organizer doesn’t have enough credits, they’ll be prompted to purchase a credit package before submission.

### 💰 Fee Breakdown for Credit Purchases

Whenever an organizer purchases credits, the total cost includes:

| **Fee Type**          | **Details**                                         |

| **Payment Processor** | Stripe or PayPal fees                               |
| **Scoreholio Fee**    | 5% of the purchase amount (minimum $2 per purchase) |

> 💡 **Pro Tip:** Create **larger credit packages** to minimize the per-credit cost. Smaller transactions can result in higher fees relative to the value purchased.


# Tournaments

Approve submitted tournaments

After tournaments are completed your invited organizers can submit the tournament results to your Scoreholio Season. Those tournaments will come in as "Pending" and wait for your approval.&#x20;

## Editing Points for a Tournament

If an organizer submits a tournament to the Scoreholio Seasons portal and later finds out that a players standings or points were incorrect you can delete the tournament. This will open the tournament back up for that organizer to make their corrections and then re-submit the tournament for approval.&#x20;

# Memberships

There is no better way to track all the players in your organization that the Scoreholio Seasons Memberships tab.

## Adding Members

There are two ways to add members to your organization throught the seasons portal.&#x20;

1. **Importing a CSV:** You can download a sample CSV by clicking the "import CSV" button. By using the spreadsheet you can mass import players OR make mass changes in bulk
2. **Orange "Import Members" tab:** After organizers have submitted tournaments to your Scoreholio Season you can import those players by clicking the import members button.

## Editing a Player Name

When you edit a player name on the Memberships tab it will edit that players name across the entire Seasons platform. On player rankings in both Seasons Admin and the Seasons tab on the app.&#x20;

## Membership Points

Some organizations like to charge a membership fee and assign points based on a membership level. You can do that in the Scoreholio Seasons system by adding the points to any players profile on the membership tab. &#x20;

## Locking a Divison

Players can see their rankings at any time on the Scoreholio app by clicking on the Scoreholio Seasons tab. If you want a player to only show up for a certain division you can lock them into a division in the Membership section.&#x20;

## Mass Importing a Spreadsheet

1. Click the "Import CSV" button
2. Download the Sample CSV file
3. Note that if you at anytime need to make mass edits you can click the "Export CSV" make all your changes to the file and then re-upload the CSV. All changes will override what is currently in the memberships tab.

## Importing from submitted tournaments

After organizers have submitted tournaments to your Scoreholio Season you can click the orange "Import Members" tab and import the new players into your memberships portal.&#x20;

1. Click the orange "Import Members" button.&#x20;
2. Click on the players you would like to mass import into the memberships portal. Note that you can click the Import Members button multiple times to assign divisions or add memberships points to different blocks of players
3. Click the blue "Import Members" button

## Exporting Player Rankings

Click on and of the export formats below the divsion. Use these spreadsheets to display the rankings on your own site.&#x20;

## Merging Duplicate Players

If you find a player that has two accounts in your season you can merge their accounts and points.&#x20;

1. Click the blue "Manage" button next to the player that needs merged.
2. Click the blue "Merge Player" button
3. Note that you will be merging a player INTO another player, make sure you are NOT on the player that you would like to keep.&#x20;

# Submitting a Tournament to a Season

Now that you have created all the points options for your season and added your organizers you are ready to start submitting tournament results.

Note: When you submit a tournament to a season your tournament will be LOCKED from editing or submitting the results to the same season again. You will have to have your season admin delete the results in order for you to re-submit the tournament.&#x20;

## Submitting Results

1. Go to the tournament admin for a tournament
2. Click on the Scoreholio Seasons tab&#x20;
3. Select your season, points option, and your tournament format
4. Click the Submit Results blue button
5. That's it!!! Easy Peasy right?

## Manually adding a player

You can manually add a player to a tournament by clicking the green "add row" button on the bottom left of the screen.

Use the dropdown to select what place the player was in and then enter first name last name and email for that player:

## Manually Entering an Entire Tournament

You can always go in and manually enter an entire tournament by using the Manual Entry drop-down under format if you need to enter results from a non-Scoreholio (yuck) tournament.

## Editing a Previously Submitted Tournament

You will have to ask the Scoreholio Seasons administrator to delete the tournament from the Seasons admin which will free your tournament up to submit again.&#x20;

# Season Ratings

## What is it?

Seasons ratings are a way to use our custom [Scoreholio Player Rating](/player-profile/spr+-1) within your own dedicated season. Seasons will take ONLY the games played in your season that have been submitted to the season and calculate the rating based on those games.&#x20;

## What are the ratings?

Ratings range from 0 to 1000, and players start at 500 ratings. You can import or start players at any rating by going to the memberships tab and entering a starting rating. \
